What does active listening look like?
Different ways to use this activity
- Have a Mr. Potato head and give groups of students or individual students a
piece of Mr. Potato head. Give them the piece and the question card that
states how to make Mr. Potato head an active listener.
- Make a Mr. Potato head out of construction paper to create a class poster.
Attach the explanations to each.
- Have the kids create a class poster that shows active listening strategies
using Mr. Potato head as a template.
- Have the students label the picture and talk with a partner about why each
part made Mr. Potato head an active listener.
