SMOKING POLICY CHANGE
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1ST, 2014
Based on feedback from our owners, guests and associates, the North and South Home Owner Association (HOA) Board members have elected to
change the smoking policy in all WKOR villas. Effective, January 1, 2014, owners and guests will no
longer be able to smoke on the lanai (balcony) of
the villas. This smoking ban on the villa lanai, will
also apply to electronic cigarettes. Information has
already been sent out to Westin KOR Villa owners
via the Owner Newsletter. However, despite efforts
to communicate this change to all WKOR owners,
there will likely be some that are unfamiliar with
the new smoking policy. That said, please be prepared to explain the smoking change to any owner
that inquiries about the smoking policy here at
WKOR.
Part of being prepared will be properly communicating to owners and guests where they can
smoke. The Westin KOR will provide (5) designated smoking areas across the property. Owners and
guests will be able to access the designated smoking
areas 24 hours a day. Each of the smoking areas
are surrounded with palms, have a bench and a
smoke flute to extinguish the cigarette in. It is important that we are all able direct our owners and
guests to these areas. I have attached the updated
property map that notates the designated smoking
areas.
