The eight-day clock that was on
exhibi tion in C. L. Darling 's window
In connection with the Masonic Bazaar was won by Mrs. Tedd y Glese.
The winn ing of the clock depended upon the nearest guess to the
time at which it would stop, it being an eight-day clock and the date
that it was fully wound was stated
on a card In the window with the
clock. The clock however , disappointed all by its marathon proclivities
and instead of stop ping somewhere
around eight days , it continued for
more than fourteen an d one-halt.
Thus most of the guessing was far
short. Only one guess actually exceeded the time that the clock ran
an d Mrs. Glese's guess was onl y
abou t thirty minutes from the correc t time. The clock stopped at 9:56
P. M. Monday evening and Mrs.
Giese guessed it would stop at 9:17
P. M.
Some other valuable awards were
also made in connection with the
Bazaar. Mrs. Ezra Wodf leld won the
floor lamp, E. C. Griffin won the end
ta ble and Mrs. A. D. Tillotson won
the silver mesh bag.
