We are currently looking for an experienced, innovative
and motivated occupational therapist to join our
occupational therapy team at Southfield Low Secure
Unit. The occupational therapy service uses the Model
of Human Occupation and has recently introduced the
Model of Creative Ability, Sensory Integration, AMPs
and a vocational pathway.
You will need to have good communication and
leadership skills as you will be responsible for
supervising other occupational therapy staff and
leading the occupational therapy team. You will also
work as part of a multi-disciplinary team having
responsibility for the assessment and treatment of a
caseload of inpatients with complex needs.
You will need to be committed to the development of
high quality, evidence based interventions within a
forensic setting. The post holder will have opportunities
to develop their own skills and get involved in audit and
research.

Forest Lodge is a fast stream rehabilitation unit (6-9

5 Nurse Practitioner. It is a busy and challenging role in
a stand alone unit so experience would be preferable,

and preceptorship is available.

working with our client group.
Duties will include day to day management of the Unit,
being the named nurse for service users, delivering

Winchester. The Mother and Baby Unit is situated in
Melbury Lodge. We hold a progressive approach and
succeed in providing evidence based interventions for
mothers suffering from mental health problems.
An opportunity has arisen for a Childcare Practitioner to
join the Specialist Psychiatric Team at the Mother and
Baby Unit in Winchester. The MBU is a seven-bed unit
that cares for mothers and babies up to one year old.
The unit provides a service which allows mothers and
babies to stay together, whilst the mother recovers from
her illness.
You role will encompass supporting mother and baby
during a time when parenting capacity may be
impacted upon, due to illness.
We are looking for a self motivated, empathic person
with a good sense of humour. You must have good
communication skills and the ability to work as part of
our multi-disciplinary team.
You will receive regular Supervision and Annual
Appraisal and will be offered training opportunities to
meet your Personal Development Plan.

Three teams of three required to teach in Ghana
We are offering a unique development and training
opportunity for HPFT staff to experience psychiatry, as
practiced in Africa, while helping develop a new mental
health service in Ghana. The Kintampo Project is a
Hampshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust initiative
(www.thekintampoproject.org).
We want to recruit three teams of three people. Two
people (per team) who have the experience to provide
direct support for the education of students (individual
and small groups) with the focus on practical problem
based learning around clinical practice. We also require
one person (per team) to work with the other two UK
team members, and local clinical supervisors in the
field, to provide support and educator development for
the local supervisors to develop confidence and skills in
facilitating self-directed learning of their students.
Adult mental health experience is essential as well as
expertise in clinical teaching and the education of
clinicians via clinical settings. Previous experience
overseas would be helpful but is not essential.

work as part of Winchester CMHT for Older People. The
person will be part of a busy admin team, who work in
a supportive and flexible manner to meet the needs of
our patients and the service, supporting the medical
staff as well as the community mental health team. The
role will involve coordinating clinics, typing
letters/reports, contributing to team audits, the
collection of statistics and answering the telephone.

The successful applicant would be an experienced
secretary preferably within a medical environment and
would have excellent keyboard and audio typing skills
and be competent and confident in the use of
Microsoft office applications. The post would also
include telephone contacts with patients, their carers
and other staff. Therefore excellent communications

prioritisation and time management, communication
and the ability to work using their own initiative within
a team environment. A mature approachable and
flexible attitude towards this work is essential as is an

With the impending retirement of the current post
holder we are looking for a new Area Lead Psychologist
for East Hampshire Adult Mental Health Psychological
Services.
In addition to carrying a clinical caseload you will
provide leadership to psychological therapists in the
area. You will have the opportunity to influence and
shape the on-going development of psychological
services but will also contribute to a broader range of
adult mental health management and development
groups.
We are looking for someone who already has
significant clinical and managerial experience in adult
mental health. We also expect you will be a flexible
team player with a strong presence and well developed
interpersonal and communication skills.
The current service is based over a number of sites, is
multi-disciplinary and spans both acute and community
care pathways. We have expertise in CBT, DBT, EMDR
and psychodynamic psychotherapy. There are good

of Psychology; particularly with the Doctoral
programme in Clinical Psychology and the MSc/Diploma
