Materials:
2 ounces worsted weight cotton yarn
Crochet hook size G (4.00 mm) or size needed to achieve
gauge
Gauge: Rounds 1-3 = 3 1/4"
Finished size: 3 1/4" diameter x 4 1/4" tall
To work bpdc: Yo, insert hook from back to front to back
around the post of the indicated st and pull up a loop, (yo and
pull through 2 loops on hook) 2 times.
To work fpdc: Yo, insert hook from front to back to front
around the post of the indicated st and pull up a loop, (yo and
pull through 2 loops on hook) 2 times.

Bottom
Ch 4, join with a sl st in the first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 11 more dc in the
ring; join with a sl st in the top of the beginning ch 3. (12 dc)

Round 2: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, dc in the same st as
joining, 2 dc in each remaining dc around; join with a sl st in
the top of the beginning ch 3. (24 dc)
fpdc in each fpdc around; join with a sl st in the top of the beginning ch 3. (36 fpdc)
Round 17: Ch 1, insert hook into same st as joining and into
the unworked top of the first fpdc on round 15, complete sc;
(insert hook into the top of the next fpdc and into the unworked top of the next fpdc on round 15, complete sc) 35
times; join with a sl st in the first sc. (36 sc)
Round 3: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, 2 dc in the next dc, (dc
in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc) 11 times; join with a sl st in
the top of the beginning ch 3. (36 dc) Fasten off. Set aside.
Can Cozy
Ch 4, join with a sl st in the first ch to form a ring.
Rounds 1-3: Work the same as rounds 1-3 of the bottom. Do
not fasten off after round 3.
Round 4: Drop the loop on the hook, insert hook from the
back between the ch 3 and the next dc on round 3, pick up
dropped loop and pull through to the back of the piece, ch 3 to
count as the first bpdc, bpdc in each remaining dc around;
join with a sl st in the top of the beginning ch 3. (36 bpdc)
Round 18: Sl st in each remaining sc around; join with a sl st
in the first sl st. (36 sl sts)
Attaching bottom: Holding the can cozy upside down, lay
the bottom piece over the bottom of the can cozy; sl st together. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
