With the introduction of the Q400 aircraft, Bombardier invented
the modern turboprop. It is one of the world’s most technologically
advanced aircraft. It’s also environmentally and community
friendly, comfortable, quiet and fast.
The Q400 aircraft is powered by new-generation,
Pratt & Whitney PW150A engines, the most advanced turboprop
engines in commercial aviation. The engines use fundamentally the
same gas turbine engine technology used in regional jet aircraft,
providing jet-like speed together with turboprop fuel efficiency,
low emissions and excellent operating economics.

With its size, fast speed and superior performance capabilities, the
Q400 aircraft is flown by more than 60 airlines and operators in approximately
40 countries and, worldwide, has transported more than 400 million
passengers. Flybe is the largest operator of Q400 in Europe.

ways to travel. We’re proud to be at the forefront of efforts by airlines
to reduce the environmental impact of air travel and to promote

The Q400 aircraft is as fuel-efficient as an eco-friendly car on a per passenger
basis, and it produces emissions that are 30-40% lower than other aircraft.
Each Q400 aircraft helps keep up to
4,000 tonnes of CO2 out of the air every year.
