Jane Addams and Me

Introduction
Jane Addams is a history maker. She fought for equal rights, which is the ability
for everyone to be able to have the same just, moral, or rightful things. She
helped organize the Women's Peace Party. She used a lot of effort, motivation
and persistence to become the first American woman to win a Nobel Peace Prize.

Jane Addams's Accomplishment
As a child Jane's father taught her to help others and work hard. She opened the
Hull House in 1889. The Hull House provided classes, medical care, and other help
for those in need. A little later she started the National Association for
the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in 1909. After that she was elected
vice president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association for equal
voting rights in 1911. Jane used effort, motivation, and persistence to reach her
goal of equal rights for everyone.

Jane Addams and I have achieved our goals using effort, motivation, and
persistence. Jane Addams worked hard at achieving her goal of every one being
treated fair. I have worked hard at achieving my goal of doing a backflip on the
floor.

My Accomplishment
My goal was to do a back flip on the floor. Well when it was a Monday afternoon
at the gym and my teacher told us that we were going to do backflips . I freakedout when we started stations because I started at the back flip station. So when
I got to the back flip part as soon as I did it I fell and crashed. When I got up the
teacher said everyone does that. He taught my group how to squat with our
arms out and then stand up. After that we look up and jump backwards. We
practiced that and at home. I tried it at home. The next day I started to get
better and my teacher helped me with the landing. When I did a second time I
jumped landed it and fell backwards . Then I tried at home again and then after
a lot of practice I landed perfectly. I stood up and my teacher said good job. I
thought all that work and me practicing at home really pays off. That is how I
reaching my goal of doing a back flip.
Conclusion
Jane Addams worked hard for peace and equal rights. I worked hard to learn
how to do a back flip. I hope you work hard to reach your goals.
