Newsletter Wednesday 15th June, 2016 It’s not that I’m afraid of the dark, I just don’t particularly like it… Growing up I used to share a room with my sister. It would frustrate me because she didn’t like the dark so we always had to sleep with a night light on. It’s funny how we easily get used to these little things. Now that I’m living in my own house, I have to admit I don’t like the pitch black dark. If I’m at home by myself I like to have a few lights on (much to my husbands frustration) even if I’m not in a particular room because it makes me feel warm and safe. Light has that effect, it makes us feel safe. Walking down the street at night or driving on a country road, street lights make us feel safe. Light has that effect, it exposes, brightens and allows nothing to hide so that we know there is nothing to fear. John 1:5 describes Jesus as THE light that, “shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it..” The light that makes us feel safe, that exposes any evil and can never be overcome by darkness and can never be extinguished. May this light guide your life and illuminate the paths that you walk in this world. Wahroonga and Hills dominated all the games and it came to the grand finals with both boys and girls in an old fashioned derby with hills. Both of the finals were intense and very close games with the boys from WAS winning in an awesome match 4-2 and the girls sadly going down 6-2. We had a great day and hope to do it again soon.
