m u r da e B wednesday-sunday, july 20-24, 2016 fairmont southampton resort, bermuda confirmation packet Confirmation Packet 47 th Annual Meeting & Trade Show Wednesday - Sunday, September 23 -27, 2015 The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa Thank you for registering for CBA’s 48th Annual Meeting & Trade Show. This packet includes helpful information to help you make the most of your adventure in Bermuda! PASSPORT REQUIRED Airport information Atlanta For those of you flying out of Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, you’ll find the new International Terminal (Concourse F) easy to get to and traverse – you no longer need to go through the Domestic terminals to arrive at the International Terminal. To park at the International terminal, we suggest the International Park-Ride (at far right in picture below). It costs $12 per day. There is another parking deck closer to the terminal but, it is for hourly parking and can be quite costly. Drop-off at the terminal is also available. (If you’ve reached the bridge with the international flags, you’ve missed the suggested parking deck.) To navigate using your GPS, please use this address for directions to the International Terminal: 2600 Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30354. The international terminal entrance is accessible from Interstate 75 at Exit 239. New roadway signage will direct you to the International Terminal via interstates 75, 85 and 285. Surface street signs have also been updated to direct you to the new facility. In the map above, the Parking symbol closest to the Exit symbol is the daily parking deck we suggest. Trams/Shuttles will then take you to the terminal. Williamsburg Travel Partners also shared this parking option. You do not have to be a member to take advantage of this offer. Currently, Atlanta is asking passengers to arrive three (3) hours before their scheduled departure. Bermuda L.F. Wade International Airport at Bermuda is a good bit smaller than Atlanta. Currently, they require check-in at least two (2) hours prior to scheduled departure. Below are websites that may be helpful to you as you plan your travel: www.atlanta-airport.com/ www.atlanta-airport.com/internationalterminal/ www.bermudaairport.com/default.aspx www.delta.com/ Consent to Use of Photographic Images Registration and attendance at, or participation in, Community Bankers Association of Georgia meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to CBA’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant’s or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities. Getting around Bermuda As you may know, rental cars are not available on the island - foreign driver’s licenses are not legal in Bermuda. Because of this, taxis are abundant and just about everywhere. You should not need to pre-arrange your ground transportation from/to the resort/airport. You may learn more by clicking here. U.S. Currency in Bermuda The U.S. Dollar is equal to the Bermudian Dollar. They do accept U.S. bills and coins in many places; however, you may receive Bermudian money in change. The resort’s concierge will convert to U.S. money for you at no charge. U.S. bank cards and credit cards are also widely accepted. We recommend NOT using U.S.-issued Gift Cards…some are not valid outside the states and others are not accepted in Bermuda without a foreign transaction fee (currently 3%). BEFORE you travel, you are encouraged to contact your bank and/or creditor to let them know of your international travel plans. CELL PHONE/DATA USAGE Please remember to call your cell provider BEFORE you travel and add an international plan to your service for July. Mention you need cell service and data service (if you have a smart phone and use data/internet). The resort does provide WiFi service, so once you’re on property, be sure to connect so that your international data is not overused on your plan (this can be quite costly). For more information on cell service in Bermuda, visit www.bermuda-attractions.com/ bermuda_0001cd.htm. The Convention & Trade Show All CBA meetings and dining functions (including the Chairman’s Reception and Banquet) are resort casual attire and family-friendly. Thursday’s Reception & Dine-Around is being held in the Exhibit Hall (Poinciana 1-2). Registered children are invited to both of the Thursday evening AND Saturday evening events. If you would like your child to attend these functions, they must be registered. Additional charges apply.
