Dear Parents,
Everyone knows that a large part of French culture has to do with food and that the French are
passionate about what they eat.
What better way, then, to delve into this interesting aspect of French culture than attending a
baking class, led by a professional baker who was trained in Paris? This is the really exciting
opportunity that your child has this term and the price for the trip, which includes a half-day baking
workshop, is £20.00, to be paid by cash or cheque by Friday 1st May.
The trip will take place on Thursday 11th June. Your child and his form will leave from school,
wearing their full “Blues” uniform, at 11.30 am, which means that you should drop them at school at
the normal time in the morning. They will then return to Cockfosters station at 4.30 pm, so you will
collect them at the end of the day at Cockfosters. The children will of course be able to eat the
delicious food they will bake, however, please note that your child will need to bring a packed lunch
as they will miss lunchtime at school.
I hope the children will thoroughly enjoy this exciting event and who knows? They may even
discover a love for cooking and baking!
