Day 2. Sun. 31 August, Sorrento, Capri.
Sorrento is the perfect base for exploring
the town of Pompeii. The once-thriving town
was engulfed by lava erupting from nearby
Mt Vesuvius in AD79. Pompeii is a historically
significant site that offers a well-preserved
insight into ancient Roman life. Visit nearby
Herculaneum, a once-wealthy city that was
similarly lost in the Mt Vesuvius eruption. Then,
visit the dazzling island of Capri, where elegant
architecture, pretty mountainscapes and a chic
town square lined with cafés and designer
boutiques feature. Discover one of the most
glamorous destinations in the Mediterranean
and visit the Villa San Michele.

Day 3. Mon. 1 September, Amalfi,
Ravello, Positano, Salerno. Stretching from
Positano to Vietri sul Mare, the enchanting
World Heritage-listed Amalfi coast boasts truly
stunning panoramas. Discover everything this
beguiling region has to offer today. Admire the
incomparable landscapes of the picturesque
capital Amalfi, an enchanting town of alleys,
steps and small white houses clinging onto
rocks. A mix of history and nature abounds
here, and the St Andrew Cathedral is well
worth a visit. Continue to the enchanting ridge
top village of Ravello, to see the many villas
and churches that abound here. Explore the
arresting beauty of Positano, a photographer’s
paradise. Visit the impressive Roman ruins and
admire the golden dome of the Collegiate
Church of Santa Maria Assunta. Discover
the lively and attractive port city of Salerno,
including the historical Old Town, complete
with charming medieval winding streets. Today,
wind your way along the sparkling coastal
route, discovering a magnificent range of
incredible destinations. Enjoy your time ashore
where you’ll take in the breathtaking sights

Day 4. Tues. 2 September, Lipari Islands.
Just off the northeastern coast of Sicily stand the
Lipari Islands. Formed as the result of volcanic
eruptions, just seven of the seventeen islands
here are inhabited. Admire the active volcanoes
of Stromboli, discover spectacular beaches
and absorb the stunning scenery today as
your captain expertly selects the best places
to explore amongst these delightful islands. BLD
Day 5. Wed. 3 September, Catania,
Taormina, Sicily. This morning, tour Catania,
Sicily’s second largest city. Catania lies on the
eastern coast of Sicily in the Ionian Sea at the
foot of Mt Etna. At several points in history,
eruptions from Mt Etna have destroyed the
city. Admire the stunning examples of Baroque

Discover the idyllic coastal city of Dubrovnik
architecture here, and perhaps sample some
Sicilian cuisine. Explore the delightful town

Day 6. Thurs. 4 September, Syracuse,
Sicily. Today, land at Syracuse, a city that once
rivalled Athens as the largest and most beautiful
city in the Greek world and is the birthplace
of Greek mathematician Archimedes. Our
exciting exploration begins this morning with
a visit to the Archaeological Zone. Admire the
well-preserved ancient Greek Theatre that is
still used today. Later, discover the impressive
Temple of Apollo and the vibrant pedestrian
square, the Piazza del Duomo.

Day 7. Fri. 5 September, Otranto, Castro,
Vaste. Visit several quaint coastal towns and
an ancient Italian village today. See Messapian
walls, Aragonese castles and Byzantine frescoes
as we explore the alluring towns of Otranto,
Castro and Vaste. Otranto was the main port
of Italy to the Orient for 1,000 years and
witnessed the bloody ‘Sack of Otranto’ in 1480.
See the town’s castle in Castro, perched high
atop a hill overlooking the turquoise sea below.
Explore Vaste, a striking and unspoilt paradise
The Main lounge is the perfect place to recharge

Monopoli boasts stretches of sandy beach,

port, Monopoli has a fascinating history and
Roman and Bronze Age settlements can be
viewed here. Discover the white-washed trulli
houses of Puglia on a half-day excursion to the
World Heritage-listed town of Alberobello. See
the impressive 15th century buildings in the Aia
Piccola and visit the Basilica Minore Dei Santi
Medeci and the medieval Casa D’Amore. BLD
Day 9. Sun. 7 September, Kotor.
This morning, cruise the stunning fjord of Kotor
Bay in Montenegro. Upon arrival in Kotor,
enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town, visiting
the many local churches including St Tryphins
Cathedral. Those feeling energetic may like to
climb the 1,350 steps to the top of the town’s
fortifications, or alternatively, delve into Kotor’s
rich sailing history at the Maritime Museum.BLD
Day 10. Mon. 8 September, Hvar, Korcula.
Disembark on the stunning island of Hvar today
and soak up the very essence of the Adriatic.
The vast lavender fields, olive groves and
spectacular vineyards secure Hvar’s identity
as a natural wonderland. The sunniest of the
Croatian islands, medieval Hvar is a true
paradise. Step back in time here as you admire
the neoclassic harbour and meander through
the labyrinth of narrow streets. Your tour today
includes a visit to the 15th century Franciscan
monastery and museum. You’ll also see the
Benedictine monastery. Afterwards, leave Hvar
behind and cruise to the pine-forested island
of Korcula to discover the historic centre on
a guided tour. Korcula is also the reputed
birthplace and hometown of Marco Polo.BLD
Day 11. Tues. 9 September, Split, Trogir.
Explore Split this morning, the largest Dalmatian
city and the second largest city in Croatia
after the capital, Zagreb. Here, tour the World
Heritage-listed site of Diocletian’s Palace. Far
from a museum, the palace is a bustling minicity that today serves as a busy residential and
commercial hub. Visit the majestic St Dominus
Cathedral within the palace walls, and admire
the intriguing granite sphinxes imported by the
Emperor. This afternoon, cruise on to the World
Heritage-listed island town of Trogir. A place
of rich culture, Trogir is nicknamed ‘the stone
beauty’. See how the Hellenistic and Roman
influence lives on here in the fine buildings and
fortifications. Meander through the old cobbled
streets and delve into Trogir’s rich history.BLD

After breakfast this morning, arrive in the

Luggage Limit
Each passenger is entitled to take one case, the sum
of its length, width and depth not to exceed 155 cm
(62 inches), weight limit 20 kg (44 lbs). Airlines permit
only one cabin bag per person, in which personal items
such as cameras, make-up etc. should be carried.
Over-limit luggage cannot be carried. Baggage is
at ‘owner’s risk’.
6. No passenger will be permitted to embark or
continue on tour while their mental or physical
condition is, in the opinion of any representative of The
Company, such as to render them incapable of caring
for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable
to other passengers, or they become a hazard to
themselves or other passengers. The Company will not
be responsible for expenses resulting in such persons
being precluded from completing the tour.
General Information
This general information relates to Australian Pacific
Touring Pty Ltd, herein after referred to as ‘The Company’.
Fares, Booking Confirmations
Price includes: 11 nights aboard the M/Y Variety Voyager
on a full board basis with house wine, beer and soft
drinks with lunch and dinner, APT Cruise Manager, all
shore excursions unless otherwise stated, gratuities to
crew and whilst on excursions, transfers, port taxes.
Not included: Travel Insurance, optional excursions.
Please note: Ports subject to change. The nature of
Small Ship Cruising is to maximise opportunities as they
arise, this may lead to a change in ports or the scheduled
itinerary for a number of reasons – refer Itineraries.
Due to the isolation of some ports the availability
of infrastructure relating to land touring may not be
consistent with other APT destinations – however,
every effort will be made to secure ‘best available.’
A $1,500 non-refundable security deposit per person,
per tour is required to confirm booking. Final payment
is due 100 days from departure date. Bookings made
within 100 days of the departure date will require full
payment at time of booking. Twin share prices are per
person unless otherwise stated. The Company reserves
the right to cancel any ticket or booking or refuse to
carry any passenger where payment has not been
received by The Company within the specified time.
Prices include Australian Government Goods and
Services Tax (where applicable).

Cancellation Policy – Air Component
When airfares have been booked by APT cancellation
fees for air and taxes will be subject to the airline
cancellation policies and are charged in addition
to the above. Cancellation fees may vary depending
on the date of cancellation.
Indemnities
The involvement of airlines, rail, boat or any other
relevant operator is as air, rail, sea and road carriers
only. They shall not be responsible for statements in
this publication relating to the transport arrangements.
The Company shall indemnify these operators against
any claim action, loss or damage arising therefrom.
Important Information Exclusion of Liability
1. Whilst The Company will take all reasonable steps
to provide an enjoyable tour, it accepts no liability for
any loss of enjoyment experienced by passengers due
to circumstances beyond its control. The Company
further accepts no liability for any loss beyond its
reasonable control and provides no warranties in
addition to those set out under the Trade Practices Act
1974, and nothing herein restricts any passenger from
exercising their rights and remedies pursuant to law.
2. Your travel agent will forward booking confirmations
and other payments to us on your behalf, but your
travel agent is not our agent for the purpose of receipt
of monies. Receipt of booking confirmations and
subsequent payments by the travel agent does not
constitute receipt of those monies by us and the travel
agent has no authority expressed or implied to receive
monies on our behalf. There is no liability on the part
of The Company in respect to any monies paid to the
passenger’s travel agent unless and until The Company
notifies the passenger (by way of a booking confirmation
advice or payment receipt advice) that monies have
been received by The Company.
3. The optional tour excursions are not operated by
or at the direction or on behalf of The Company or
its employees or agents or any other persons or
companies associated with The Company. By taking
bookings for these tours, The Company acts as each
optional tour operator’s agent.
4. These tours include the services of operators other
than The Company e.g. hoteliers, airlines and optional
tour excursions, which are not under the direct control
of The Company, and whilst The Company takes all
reasonable care in selecting these operators, it cannot
accept responsibility for those operators’ conduct or
the conduct of their representative employees or agents
or for any ramifications of that conduct.
5. On tours including activities such as trekking,
swimming and snorkelling, passengers accept that
degrees of risk are involved.
Amendment Fees
A charge of $75 will apply to any addition or
modification requested after the original booking
has been confirmed.
Itineraries
Itineraries are subject to alteration without notice and
intended as a guide only. Alterations may come about
due to road, weather or tidal conditions, strikes, public
holidays, local festivals or other reasons. Due to the
nature of the terrain and remote areas, weather
fluctuations can adversely affect road conditions
which may necessitate alterations to itinerary with little
or no notice. Any additional expense incurred by the
passenger is not The Company’s responsibility. The
Company can give no guarantee as to the exact arrival
and departure times for carriers and operators used by
The Company in the tour and The Company will not be
liable for failure to make connections with any other
services or attractions beyond its control. As is normally
the case with group tours, a minimum number of
bookings is required in order for a tour to be financially
viable and to have a pleasant group atmosphere.
In the event that adequate numbers cannot be
achieved, it may be necessary to cancel a scheduled
departure and to offer the nearest possible alternative
date (or a full refund of monies paid for APT ground
content touring). The date on which the decision is
made whether a tour will operate is usually four to
eight weeks before the scheduled departure date.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend passengers to take out travel
insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that
may arise (including cancellation fees, medical and
curtailment expenses, loss of luggage, early departure
from tour due to death or illness etc.). Ask your Travel
Agent for details at the time of booking.
