Seattle Yacht Club 2017 Adult Sailing Classes Welcome! Below you will find important information to make sure your sailing course is as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. Class Times: Classes run from 5:30 – 7:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for two weeks in a row. Please contact the Sailing Office or your Instructor ahead of time if you will be absent, are running late, or have to leave early. Where to go: Seattle Yacht Club is located at 1807 E. Hamlin Street, near the SR-520 and Montlake exit. Classes will meet in the Junior Clubhouse, which is located to the south of the main yacht club building. From the parking lot, walk west past the south end of the building toward the docks and tents. The Junior Clubhouse is to the left. Your instructor will be waiting under the blue tent to greet you on the first day of class. Items to bring: Lifejacket (if not renting from SYC) Water Bottle Sunscreen Hat & sunglasses Towel Appropriate Clothes o No jeans- they may get wet! o Athletic-type clothing that dries quickly and allows you to move works best. o Dress appropriately for the weather. o We suggest bringing a fleece or non-cotton Jacket for cold or rainy days. Change of clothes (sometimes we get wet) Shoes that wont fall off o No flip-flops o We suggest strap-on sandals like Tevas, or AquaSocks o Tennis shoes are OK but will get wet Questions?
