“2016 Shop Goodyear for the Holidays” Official Rules
The following terms and conditions ("Official Rules") explain and govern the 2016 Shop Goodyear for the
Holidays Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) as sponsored by the City of Goodyear, Arizona (“City”).
Entry: To participate in the Sweepstakes, eligible persons must timely submit an Entry to the City no later than
January 3, 2017 at noon. There is no limit on the number of entries that may be submitted. Entries may be submitted
one of three ways: (1) Purchase a minimum of $25 of goods and/or services on a single receipt from a business in
Goodyear between November 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016, download entry form at
www.goodyearaz.gov/shopgoodyear, complete entry form, staple the entry form to the purchase receipt, and mail
to: 2016 Shop Goodyear for the Holidays Sweepstakes, City of Goodyear - Economic Development Department,
14455 W. Van Buren Street, Suite D102, Goodyear, AZ 85338 or (2) drop off entry form and purchase receipt to
one of the following locations:

or (3) (Alternate Entry – NO PURCHASE NECESSARY) Mail a completed Entry form to 2016 Shop Goodyear for
the Holidays Sweepstakes, City of Goodyear - Economic Development Department, 14455 W. Van Buren Street,
Suite D102, Goodyear, AZ 85338 or drop off a completed entry form the aforementioned locations. The City is not
responsible for printing errors or inaccurate, incomplete, stolen, lost, mutilated, illegible, misdirected, delayed or
late Entries, telephone or equipment malfunction.
Eligible Participants: This Sweepstakes is open to all United States residents, who are 18 years or older at the time
of entry. Employees and elected officials [including immediate family members such as a spouse, parent, child and
sibling and their respective spouses, and members of the same household, whether or not related] of the City,
Companies providing prizes, and their respective employees and officials [including immediate family members
such as a spouse, parent, child and sibling and their respective spouses, and members of the same household, whether
or not related], advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes
are not eligible to participate.
Winner Selection and Notification: After the close of the Sweepstakes, but no later than January 10, 2017,
representatives of the City will randomly select entries from those properly submitted. Only one winner per
household. Prizes will be awarded to the selected Entrants through a random drawing method. The City will also
attempt to notify the winners by telephone or e-mail by January 10, 2017. On January 10, 2017, a list of the winners
will be posted on the City website at www.goodyearaz.gov/shopgoodyear. All prizes may be claimed by the selected
winners at the City’s Economic Development office, located at 14455 W. Van Buren Street, Suite D102, Goodyear,
AZ 85338, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m by appointment only by calling
(623) 882-7904. To collect prizes, all winners will be required to present valid identification. All prizes not claimed
on or before 5:00 p.m. on February 10, 2017, will be deemed forfeited and not awarded.
Prizes/Odds of Winning: Actual odds of winning are based upon the total number of prizes and Entries.
All Prizes Generally: All winners are solely and fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state and local
taxes, title, licenses and registrations for their prize, as well as any and all costs and expenses not expressly specified
herein related to their prize, including (without limitation) the cost to operate and insure the prize. In the event of the
award of a trip as a prize, trip expenses not mentioned are not included and are the sole responsibility of the winner.
No prize or cash substitutions permitted. Prizes are not transferable or assignable.
Waiver/Hold Harmless: Each Sweepstakes entrant acknowledges and agrees, to the maximum extent permitted by
law, that the City, its prize donors, and their respective representatives, agents, owners, officers and employees
(collectively or individually, the "Releasee(s)") will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, harm,
damages or liability of any kind resulting from awarding, receipt, acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize,
or from the participation of the entrant in Sweepstakes, including (without limitation) for the awarding or
reimbursement of any prize otherwise payable to an Entrant who is ineligible. Each winner acknowledges that no
Releasee has made any warranty, representation, or guarantee, whether express or implied, regarding any prize and
agrees that the Releasees, to the maximum extent permitted by law, disclaim all warranties, express or implied,
including without limitation those of merchantability, quality, mechanical condition and fitness for a particular
purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, each winner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless for any
liability or claim whatsoever each Releasee for any property loss, misfortunes, and cause of action, damage, personal
injury and death in connection with the prize provided or arising from or in connection with their participation in the
Sweepstakes.
By entering the Sweepstakes, the Entrant grants permission, without further compensation, to the City and the prize
donors, and their respective agents, to use, record, reproduce and display the entrant's name, voice, photograph,
likeness and biographical material in any medium whatsoever in perpetuity throughout the known universe for
historical, advertising, marketing, publicity, broadcast or other promotional purposes, related to the Sweepstakes.
Each entrant in the Sweepstakes understands and agrees that the depiction of a prize in any advertising or promotional
materials may not reflect the actual prize to be delivered to the winner. In order to receive a prize, the winner shall
be required to sign a release and waiver of liability and a publicity release and authorization. Prizes may not be
awarded and will be forfeited, if (1) the winner does not provide the required identification by 5:00 p.m. on February
10, 2017, (2) the selected winner is not eligible in accordance with the Official Rules, (3) the Official Rules are
violated, or (4) the Sweepstakes are cancelled.
These Official Rules are subject to the interpretation, modifications, and decisions of the City, who reserve the right
in its sole discretion to revise and interpret the Official Rules without claim for damage or recourse of any kind. By
participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to be bound by and comply with the Official Rules and the
decisions of the City, which shall be final. Any entrant failing to meet and comply with the Official Rules will
be immediately disqualified and shall forfeit any prize awarded, NO EXCEPTIONS. The City reserves the
right to cancel this Sweepstakes, whether in whole or in part, at any time and for any reasons whatsoever.
Jurisdiction. This Sweepstake is subject to all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations and is void where
prohibited or restricted by law. This Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws
of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflicts of law or choice of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or
related to this Sweepstakes shall be commenced in Maricopa County, Arizona.
