FACULTY AND STAFF: follow these steps to ensure you have
the content you need from Blackboard before
JUNE 30, 2012 and to get started with Sakai today.
1) Check Sakai for your migrated Blackboard content
Log in at sakai.duke.edu
2) Download any other Blackboard content you want to save
Not all content migrates! Student data (assignments, wikis, blogs, discussion boards,
grades, etc.) MUST be copied or saved manually before 6/30/2012.

Training and Support
Between March 2011 - June 2012, CIT offered 18 different types of workshops (97
scheduled workshop sessions) to over 400 participants. CIT also offered 66 Office Hour
help sessions and over 50 personalized office visits.
Transition summary
980 active faculty using Sakai. Since Fall 2011, about 1600 unique course sites created in
Sakai. Over 28,000 Bb sites migrated. Combined users active since Fall 2011: 13,877

Upcoming changes/developments
Duke Toolkits changes to allow better access to Sakai for support staff as delegates and to set
up batch course creation processes for schools. Minor bug fixes and changes to prepare for an
upgrade to Sakai 2.9 by Summer 2013.
