Who Am I? - Bankwood School

Who Am I?
Dad often says to me, “You are too tall for your
class.”
Then I say, “I like my height just the way it is.”
You’ll often see me wearing a long, pretty,
flowery dress with a brown woolen jersey that is
warm.
When I’m finished my work I sometimes read a
book or read a poem with a buddy. When I play
outside at morning tea time I sometimes play
with Rayne and Sophie. We play on the seat
where the lavender is.

When Mum looks into my eyes she says, “Do not
look at me!” She thinks they are too bright.
I have white skin, blue eyes and freckles. My hair
is gold and I brush it every morning. Usually I
wear shorts and a black tee shirt and black shoes.
Before school, I normally get here at 7:30am.
When the bell goes I sneakily grab a ball and go
and kick it against Room 8. When the 9 o’clock
bell rings I rush inside and sit nicely on the mat.
After lunch I get a poem and sit down and read it.
I am a person who talks at my table but not every
day.

I have straight brown hair and it is always
brushed. I think I’m kind of tall and skinny.
When I am at school I mostly wear my red
shorts. I hate wearing my skinny jeans but I love
wearing my shorts. I wear my motorbike jersey
when it is clean.
When I hear the hand bell ring I walk to class
and put my bag away then I go and play with
Zubair and Ali.

Mum says to me, “I love your short prickly hair.”
My hair and eyes are brown and my eyelashes are
long.
You will usually see me wearing long shorts and a
rugby tee-shirt.
In the morning I race into class, put my bag away,
quickly get a ball and go and kick it against Room 8.
Dad says to me, “You are too good at rugby.” I got
top scorer in rugby last year.
When
the 9 o’clock bell rings I rush back to class. After
lunch I get a book and read it.
I’m loud and I talk a lot. Mrs Hall says to me,
“Could you please be quiet Robert ,” and she says it
quite a lot. I wriggle a lot on the mat and I chat a
lot when I am working.

Long, dark hair reaches beneath my shoulders. It’s
chocolaty coloured and at the bottom it looks like
ringlets. Mum strokes it and says, “You have pretty
hair.” Some times she tells me that I should brush
it. My curly hair spins around like a merry-go-round.
I love having my hair out or in a pony tail and I
absolutely hate having it in a plait.
My skin is beige and kind of brown. My eyes are
brown. I have freckles on my nose and a few around
my eyes.
I usually wear tights to school with cardigans as well.
At school in the morning I usually stay inside and
wander around the room otherwise I wander around
outside.

I’ve got dark black hair that curls. I have dark
brown eyes that shimmer in the sun. I wear a
rainbow dress with pink tights underneath. My
white and black shoes have pink shoe laces.
I like soccer and bananas. I also like to laugh,
smile and give hugs.
I talk when Mrs Hall isn’t looking. I like to be
creative and responsible and sometimes I’m the
best I can be. I like to run, be enthusiastic and
learn. You’ll sometimes see me reading.

My hair is dark brown and my skin is slightly
browner. I am a tall person. I wear shorts, a
tee-shirt, a jersey and blue and black shoes to
school.
Before school I run and get a ball and go and
kick it around. Sometimes I play rugby with
Aretopa and Bradley and I get lots of tries.
When the 9 o’clock bell rings I come and sit on
the mat. After lunch I come and quietly read a
book. In the breaks I play with my friends on
the playground.

On rainy days I wear a spotty jacket and bare
feet. I don’t like hats. I have brown curly hair
and light blue eyes. There is white hair on my
arms. I am young and short.
My mind loves books. I dread hard books. You
will often see me walking around the classroom
in the morning. Sometimes you will see me on
the playground. Usually I play in Miss Cowie’s
room on the ipads.
I only play with one friend. I like doing art.

Mum says to me, “Look at thooose big freckles on your
face,” but I think they’re tiny. I usually wear bright tops,
shorts and leggings and keep my hair down because I
hate it up. I eat Cadbury chocolate nearly every day and
I’m still quite skinny. I exercise a lot – most of the time I
don’t know that I’m exercising.
Before school starts I wait under the shade cloth until the
inside bell rings. I whizz to class as one of the first
people to put down the chairs. After I’ve done that I race
outside and play with a ball.
If you were to look for me in Room 2 I would be reading
quietly in the library corner, and if you were to look for
me in the middle of the day I would be finishing writing.
If I were playing outside I would be on the concrete or
playground. I will be waiting at the gate at the end of the
day if you were to look for me then.

I have blue eyes, white skin and freckles. I
usually wear shorts and a tee-shirt to school.
I love playing with the toys.
Sometimes I am quiet and sometimes I am not.
When I am not quiet I am moving my feet
around. It’s hard for me to keep still on the
mat.

Mum calls me the boy with the curly hair. I
don’t really like it. I have short curly black hair
but when it’s short, it’s straight and I don’t have
to brush it. I have a scar on my face, no dimples
and brown skin. My eyes are brown like melted
chocolate.
I like wearing sandals and I wear my dark
brown raincoat when it rains. I don’t like wearing
warm clothes because they make me hot
sometimes and I don’t like wearing gumboots.
I have two fantastic friends that I like to talk to.
I like zooming outside when the bell rings and
climbing on the wobbly wall.
Who am I?
Who Am I?
I have golden brown hair. I have plaits
sometimes and sometimes I have ponytails or I
have my hair in a fat bun. My skin is white and
I have chocolate brown eyes. Sometimes I like
wearing a red headband and my black cardigan.

don’t have freckles on my face. Last year I was
the tallest in the classroom. I have fat legs and
knobbly knees.
I often wear my yellow rain jacket to school and
you will see me wearing jeans.
You will always see me run to the calendar when
the bell rings and I don’t greet the teacher.
Kasen, Zubair and I are best friends. I wriggle
on the mat and touch my toes.

My hair is chocolatey brown and the ends of it feel
like animal fur. Nana says to me, “Lovely shiny hair.”
I look a bit different now because some hair is on
my forehead – I have a fringe. Sometimes I wear a
ponytail but I mostly wear a plait.
I usually wear what Mum and Dad pick for me like
a tee-shirt, jersey, pants, socks and grey shoes.
I like writing and art. I do not like spiders,
cockroaches and praying mantises.
Who am I?
Who Am I?
Sometimes mum says to me, “I love those chubby
cheeks. I want to eat them!”
I am really pale brown and I have dark brown eyes.
My light brown hair is always bushy. It is usually in a
bun or a plait because I might get nits. Most days I
wear shorts and a tee-shirt.
In the morning you will sometimes see me on the
computer or sometimes I will be playing on Miss
Cowie’s ipads. Sometimes I will be sitting around
doing nothing.
I am very quiet in the classroom when I am working
because I want to get my work finished before the
bell rings.

Dad loves brushing his fingers down my pony
tails. I have darkish and lightish hair and I’ve
got a fringe. I’ve got freckles on my nose and

on it. Sometimes, but not often, I like wearing
trousers.
I’m quite quiet and I always show mat manners.
I like art, especially painting. I like playing with
my friends at school.
Who am I?

Mum says to me, “You have beautiful eyes
and a beautiful face.” I have brown and
black eyes.
I hate my hair down. It tickles and
scratches my neck.
I like doing art in class. I liked drawing
the tokotoko – it was my favourite thing
to do.
Who am I?
Who Am I?
My long, brown hair is tied up as a ponytail.
Usually you will see me with a head band on my
hair so it won’t go in my face.
Sometimes I wear clothes that are too big for
me. I often wear random clothes and a necklace,
too.
I’m quiet inside but loud outside when I’m
playing a game. I’m very quiet on the mat.
Sometimes I play bingo with my best friend
Janaya in Room 1.
I write with my right hand.

I have golden and brown hair. Mum
plaits my hair every day so I can go to
school nice and clean.
I love learning my pluses.

My hair is black and very curly. Sometimes I
brush it so it can get even curlier. I’ve got long
eyelashes and my eyes are a dark brown colour.
I have clear eyesight.
Sometimes I wear shirts and sometimes I just
wear tee-shirts. Usually I wear trousers or
shorts to school.
I always try hard, too.
