Observe the structures and the organization of the flower. Identify the parts of the pistil and stamen. 3. Carefully start to pull the flower apart making sure not to crush the various parts. 4. Place the parts in the appropriate boxes on back and tape them to the lab report. 5. Record the gender (female or male) of the flower part if it makes sense. 6. Write the function of the flower part in the bottom of the box. 7. Clean up your materials (the flowers and the paper towels can be composted) and answer the questions on back in complete sentences. 8. Once you are finished find something quiet to work on in your seat. Page 108 will be helpful in identifying the flower parts.
