one of the decimal drills that can be found at http://mrnussbaum.com/decimals_drills/ .
Simply select the appropriate decimal drill to use as a warm-up review as a whole class
activity.
Main Activity:
Students should watch the instructional video for Decimals of the Caribbean at
(http://mrnussbaum.com/docrb) before playing. Explain to students that they can
achieve passwords for each level they pass, ensuring that they do not have to start from
the beginning of the game if they do not pass a particular round.
Students will play the “Decimals of the Caribbean” game either as a whole group or
on individual computers (or iPad). If you play as a whole group, ask each student to
write down their answer. Then, pull a name randomly to call on a student. This way they
are all held accountable throughout the game because they will never know whose turn
it is next.
