The speak will take place on Friday May 18 at Faculty of Media,
Tematínska 10 Bratislava in Lecture Room 1 (Poslucháreň 1) at
10.00 am.

Evan Thomas was made Editor at Large of Newsweek in September 2006. He is the magazine's lead writer on major news stories and the
author of many longer features, including issues on presidential elections, and more than a hundred cover stories. Thomas was pivotal in
spearheading Newsweek's award-winning coverage on the war on terror from Washington, D.C. bureau. For ten years, 1986-1996, Thomas
was Newsweek's Washington bureau chief. In the fall of 2007 he began a five-year term at Princeton as Ferris Professor of Journalism.
