Brisbane, 20 February 2015
At 3.15 pm on 20 February 2015, the Premier and Minister for the
Arts and Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services and
Minister for Corrective Services declared a Disaster Situation for
part of the State of Queensland consisting of the area within the
boundaries of the Disaster Districts of Rockhampton, Gladstone,
Bundaberg, Maryborough and Gympie under Section 69 of the
Disaster Management Act 2003 .

Short title
1. This notice may be cited as the Objections to Proposed Road
Closure Notice (No 08) 2015.
Application for road closure [s.100 of the Act]
2. Applications have been made for the permanent and
temporary closure of the roads mentioned in the Schedule.
Objections
3.(1) An objection (in writing) to a proposed road closure
mentioned in the Schedule may be lodged with the Executive
Director, Department of Natural Resources and Mines, at the

(MAKING OF LOCAL LAW) NOTICE (NO. 1) 2015
Notice is hereby given that Barcoo Shire Council at its meeting
on 18 February 2015, resolved:
Title
1. This notice may be cited as Council of the City of Gold Coast
(Making of Local Law) Notice (No. 1) 2015 .
(1) to adopt Amendment No.1 of the Barcoo Shire Planning
Scheme to include a Priority Infrastructure Plan; and
Commencement
2. This notice commences on the date it is published in the
gazette.
Making of local law
3. Council of the City of Gold Coast (“Council”) has, by
resolution dated the 17 February 2015, made Regulated
Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2015
(the “subordinate local law”). The subordinate local law
does not contain any anti-competitive provisions.
Existing local law amended
4. Gold Coast City Council Local Law No. 2 (Regulated Parking)
2006 authorises the subordinate local law to be made.
5. The subordinate local law amends Subordinate Local Law
No. 2 (Regulated Parking) 2006 .
Adoption of consolidated version of subordinate local law
6. Council has, by resolution dated 17 February 2015, adopted
a consolidated version of Subordinate Local Law No. 2
(Regulated Parking) 2006 .

(2) the commencement date for the above Amendment is
27 February 2015.
The purpose and general effect of Amendment No.1 is to
incorporate a Priority Infrastructure Plan (PIP) to integrate and
coordinate land use planning and infrastructure planning.

It is notified that, pursuant to Section 319T(2)(1)(b) of the
Corrective Services Act 2006 , a Victim Trust Fund has been
established in the name of Gordon Keith WHITEHOUSE as a
result of a payment to him pursuant to the Personal Injuries
Proceedings Act 2002 . Victims of Gordon Keith WHITEHOUSE
may have a claim against the Victim Trust Fund and that claim
may be payable from the Victim Trust Fund. Potential claimants
have six months from the publication of this notice to start a
proceeding in a court to have an eligible victim claim against
Gordon Keith WHITEHOUSE.
Any victims of Gordon Keith WHITEHOUSE who commence a
claim against the offender and wish to make a claim against the
Victim Trust Fund must notify the Public Trustee of the
commencement of the claim and provide sufficient proof of the
commencement of the claim to satisfy the Public Trustee. This
notification must be made to the Public Trustee within six
months of the publication of this notice, as detailed above.
It should be noted that pursuant to section 319S(2)(a) of the
Corrective Services Act 2006 , a victim may have a potential
eligible victim claim whether or not the offender is prosecuted
for, or convicted, of an offence in relation to the conduct for
which the victim is claiming.
