Alarm procedure
The fact that you are visibly protected by a monitored alarm
system will cause the majority of burglars to seek easier pickings
elsewhere. If, however, a burglar does attempt to break in, or
a smoke detector is activated and the alarm triggered - what
happens? Our control centre is immediately made aware of the
situation and the first thing they will do is try to contact you.
If the control centre is unsuccessful in this and the alarm persists,
our monitoring staff will immediately alert the police, ambulance and
fire brigade.
Pet tolerant sensors
Worried that your pets will set off your alarm? If you have pets that
weigh less than 15kg we are able to fit pet tolerant sensors that will
not activate the alarm each time your pet enters an area covered by
the detector, enabling you to protect your most valuable possessions
without the danger of false alarms. If your pet weighs over 15kg we
would recommend a combination of door contacts and clip detectors
to provide perimeter protection.

protection. This customised system can be installed in a few hours,
with minimal disruption to your home. As SLC Alarms use the
highest quality wireless equipment this means that there is no

Once the system is fitted the engineer will explain how it
is operated.
We will service your alarm system every six months to ensure your
high quality equipment is kept in full working order. If there is a
problem between services the system will normally automatically
inform us via the phone line. SLC Alarms own engineers are
available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to fix any problems.
We provide a lifetime guarantee for all equipment for the duration
of the monitoring contract, meaning that you do not have to worry
about the system at all, other that turning it on and off.
Safety for you and your family
You and your family will find it easy to operate the alarm system using
your key fob remote controls. Setting the alarm as you leave your
home and turning it off as you return is simply a matter of pressing a
button on the remote - simple for adults and children alike, with no
fumbling with keypads or having to memorize yet another PIN.
Once you are inside your home, you can set the alarm system to
monitor a particular zone - for example all sensors downstairs can be
activated at night for complete peace of mind whilst you sleep. Again,
this can be done with a push of a button on the key fob remote.

it instantly advises our monitoring
centre that you have a problem
and they will inform the police
immediately.
Passive Infrared
Detector (PIR)
Extra PIRs are available if the security
audit of your property highlights the
need for them.
Key fob
Allowing you to easily turn the system
on or off, this handy remote control
makes using a SLC Alarm system
a simple case of pressing a button.
We recommend that every person
who has a key for your house also
has a remote control key fob, so they
are able to access the property and
maintain the highest possible level of
security at all times.
Glass break Detector
Used to sense a window being
broken, best utilised in a small room.
Pet tolerant PIR detectors
No need to worry about pets setting
off the alarm whilst you are out. For
pets weighing less than 15kg we are
able to fit pet tolerant sensors in place
of our usual detectors. For larger
animals we can use a combination of
door contacts and clip detectors to
provide secure perimeter protection.
External Siren
The alarm system is provided ready
fitted with a 110 db internal siren. If
you would like an alarm source outside
your property. Upgrade the decoy box
to a full battery operated siren fitted
on the exterior of your property.
Door contact
The magnetic contact consists of two
separate parts, one mounted on the
frame and the other on the door/
window. This provides a very stable
form of detection, and is an excellent
way of providing perimeter detection
which can be used even when the
house is occupied.
