CLASSXIIPERFORMANCE-BASEDELIGIBILITYCRITERION
Acandidateshould
(1) be within the category-wise top 20-percentile of successful candidates in the
respectiveClassXII(orequivalent)boardexamination;OR
(2)havesecured75%(375marks)[incaseofGENorOBC-NCL]or70%(350marks)
[incaseofSC,STorPwD]ofaggregatemarks(outof500marks)intheClassXII(or
equivalent)boardexamination.
Themarksscoredinthefollowingfivesubjectswillbeconsideredforcalculatingthe
aggregate marks and the cut-off marks for fulfilling the top 20 percentile criterion:
(1)Physics,(2)Chemistry,(3)Mathematics,(4)alanguage(ifthecandidatehastaken
more than one language, then the language with the higher marks will be
considered), and (5) any subject other than the above four (the subject with the
highermarkswillbeconsidered).
IfthemarksawardedinasubjectisNOToutof100,thenthemarkswillbescaled(up
ordown)to100sothatthetotalaggregatemarksisoutof500.
Category-wisetop20-percentilecut-offmarksfortheyears2015and2016aregiven
here,whichareapplicableforcandidateswhocompletedClassXIIintheyears2015
and2016,respectively.
For candidates who re-appeared for Class XII in 2016 in all the subjects, the best
performance of the two years (viz., 2015 and 2016) will be considered to check if
