Office & Facility, w hich w ill be held from 25th to 29th of October in Cologne, Germany.
We look forw ard to the opportunity of introducing our new Pi chair made from double curved
plyw ood and new modules to the Grand Canyon sofa system. The stylish and architecturally
pleasing Grand Canyon collection, designed by Finnish Mr. Timo Ripatti, celebrates its’ tenth
anniversary this year.

The Pi chair w as designed especially for Piiroinen and represents the first chair that Diederik
Fokkema has designed. The w hole Pi Collection is a result of the efficient teamw ork betw een
Piiroinen R&D department and FOKlab research department of Fokkema & Partners Architecten.
The Pi chair uses uniquely deformable veneer (3D veneer) that flexes three-dimensionally in the
press. The result cannot be seen even by the naked eye, but it can be felt immediately w hen you
sit in the chair. It takes you in its lap, and it also allow s you to relax. Thanks to the unique veneer
and flexing technology, w e have been able to keep the chair light yet rigid, w hile the dimensions
offer support for the back and sitting in just the right places.
The w hole w ide range of Pi Collection w ill include stools, bar stools, chairs, armchairs, sofas and
tables for dining, conference and lounge areas.
