Guam’s indigenous (aboriginal) people and some
say that they may have some connections with Tai-

One of the most famous places to see is “Two Lovers Point”. This is a cliff (a flat mountain) and
there is a very romantic but sad story to it. A young
Chamorro girl was supposed to marry a Spanish
soldier but she was in love with a Chamorro boy.
When the girl’s father learned about this, he and a
group of Spanish soldiers chased them to the cliff.
The boy and girl tied their hair together, kissed one
last time and jumped over the cliff into the water,
never to be seen again. Even if you don’t know the
story, it is a beautiful place to see the ocean!
Although Guam is small, there is a lot to do and
see. One of my good friends told me that Guam is a
little piece of America surrounded by beautiful

warm and it is close to a lot of stores. Speaking of

All in all, Guam is the perfect place to go to relax,

really nice and helpful and you will have a wonderful time!

Teachers in the LLNC will offer mini-clubs
based on subjects such as Business, Games, Art
Appreciation, etc. The club will meet once a
week for two hours. The course session will last
5 weeks. If a student misses the signup for one
session the student can sign up for the next one.
There will be three sessions of each club per
semester. Students can sign up for a session
through the LLNC website. It should be noted
that students might need to buy a book or some
materials to be used in the club depending on
the type of club.

The Language Learning Navigation Center (LLNC)
now offers mini-clubs to students. Mini-clubs are a
fun way to learn more about a subject in a short matter of time. It’s perfect for the busy student who
wants additional knowledge but has a lot of things
going on in their life.
Over the next few issues teachers will write a
short summary of the clubs being offered.
Check future issues to learn more about the
clubs being offered this semester. Additional
information can be gained through the LLNC.
We all look forward to seeing you in our miniclubs.

A High Energy Summer
by Bradley Stephens
A fine finish the International Language Center has
had for its highly intensive, highly informative,
highly FUN English Climbers Summer Camp,
Straight to the Top! We had a large number of participants this year with five fully loaded teams competing in events. Teacher Ruby led the singing class
with the song Last Christmas winning first place in
the competition. Teacher Phil taught how to make
international ad campaigns. Mad props went to the
ads for Selfie Stick, Super Water, and Da Yeh bicy-

Students also had a chance to practice their speak-
