A.V. FAIR ANNOUNCES PALMDALE AUTO MALL
HISPANIC MUSIC CONCERT
Calibre 50 (Cincuenta) & Larry Hernandez to perform on August 21, 2016
LANCASTER, CA – June 9, 2016. Fair officials today announced the final concert in the
Palmdale Auto Mall Concert Series for the 78th annual A.V. Fair & Alfalfa Festival (August 19
thru 28, 2016).
CALIBRE 50 (Cincuenta) and opening act LARRY HERNANDEZ, co-sponsored by Vallarta
Supermarkets, will hit the stage on Sunday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for Calibre 50/Larry
Hernandez, go on sale Tuesday, June 14th, at 10:00a.m., at www.avfair.com.
CALIBRE 50 from Mazatlan, Sinaloa are an award-winning quartet founded in 2010 by Eden
Muñoz (vocals, accordion), Armando Ramos (guitars, vocals), Martín López (tuba), and Augusto
(drums). Their provocative name (after an armor-piercing bullet) was chosen as a symbol for
their music, which they claim can penetrate across geographical lines from Mexico and the
United States to Latin America. Their 2011 breakout album De Sinaloa Para el Mundo, includes
hit singles like "El Tierno Se Fue," and "Te Estoy Engañando con Otra." 2012's El Buen Ejemplo
delivered four hit singles:"Mujer de Todos, Mujer de Nadie," "Bohemio Loco," "Aguaje
Activado," "El Buen Ejemplo," and "Gente Batallosa," a duet with the band Carnivale. The latter
became the most played song of the year in Mexico and netted the band a Billboard Award for
"Song of the Year Vocal Collaboration."
LARRY HERNANDEZ is an American regional Mexican singer, composer, songwriter,
drummer, accordion player, and television star who was born in Los Angeles, California. At the
age of eight, he composed his own corridos and played them for his family members to critique.
Hernandez attended a music school in Culiacán and in 1999, recorded his first solo album,
"Contella Norteña." Between 1999 - 2008 he recorded 8 more albums. In 2009 Hernandez’s star
rose with his release of "16 Narco Corridos." The album reached number four on the Billboard

Top Latin Albums, selling over 300,000 albums. The album was written almost entirely by
Hernandez and recorded in a single day. Between 2010-2012, he won numerous Latin Billboard
Music awards for Latin Artist of the Year, Regional Mexican Airplay Artist of the Year, and
Regional Mexican Albums Artist of the Year, to name a few. Ticket prices for the Calibre

Adult and Youth Calibre 50/Larry Hernandez concert tickets include Fair admission.
Tickets in the Gold Circle section only for the Calibre 50/Larry Hernandez concert are reserved
(customers can choose their own seats). Trackside and Grandstand are festival seating on a first
come, first seated basis. There are no free Grandstand seats for this concert, a ticket is required for
Adults and Youths (6-11 years old). All Calibre 50/Larry Hernandez tickets purchased on-line will
be subject to the 10% service charge. Children occupying seats for concerts must have a ticket.
Parking: $10.00.
Pre-sale General Admission Calibre 50/Larry Hernandez will also be available for purchase as of
July 29th thru August 18th, at local A.V. Vallarta Supermarkets (cash only) for $30.00 (includes
service charge) in addition to $7.00 Pre-sale General Admission Fair tickets, and $20.00 Unlimited
Carnival Rides wristband vouchers. A.V. Fair Buy One, Get One FREE Coupon Books (over $140
value) will be available with purchase of Pre-sale $7 admission tickets, $20 Ride Wristband

grandstand seating is FREE with the purchase of general admission to the Fair. Grandstand seating

must have a ticket. Children 5 years old and younger attending concerts are free with paid adult. A
