To celebrate our 10th anniversary, Sustainable Path Foundation is introducing The Power of 10
and two exciting new efforts: Sustainability Trailblazers and Pass It Forward.
The Power of 10 is a well-known mathematical notation that can easily be applied to our everyday
lives. At Sustainable Path Foundation, it explains how a small group of passionate people came
together and built an organization that’s invested more than $1,000,000 in our community – and
has a goal of increasing that impact ten-fold. Sustainable Path is thrilled to celebrate ten years of
impact, ten years of group philanthropy, and ten years of whole-systems thinking this year, and we
look forward to doing so with YOU!
Sustainability Trailblazers is an opportunity for us to recognize sustainability game-changers in
our region. We’ll select ten movers and shakers who’ve made a significant impact improving the
health of our region and highlight their good work on our website, Facebook, and Twitter.
Through Pass It Forward, Sustainable Path will acknowledge one individual who exemplifies our
mission and values. We’ll donate $1,000 ($103) to the nonprofit of that person’s choice, and he or
she will select the second recipient. We’ll donate another $1,000 to the nonprofit of the second
recipient’s choice, and he or she will select the third recipient. This will continue until we have ten
Pass It Forward recipients and ten nonprofits that have received $1,000 awards.
Both Sustainability Trailblazers and Pass It Forward will allow us to recognize individuals’
incredible efforts to advance sustainability in our region. We’re excited to get to know those people
and the organizations they care about. We're also excited to help you get to know them too, so look
