1. One set of NWUs will be distributed to each cadet upon completion
and acceptance of USNLCC membership application
2. The second set of NWUs normally required for Advanced/Recruit
Training is the responsible of Cadets/Parents. However the TSRM
will order the second set for a $40 holding deposit.
3. Alternately Cadets/Parent purchase the NWU at the NEX with the
membership card/ID at their own personal cost.
4. NEX purchase price are at retail cost which can quickly run to over
$90+ for Blouse and Trouser.

It is best to order by package. For example when you first receive NWUs and
will likely go to training it’s cheaper to order the “USNLCC NWU
Implementation package”, which includes the following items for $20:

NWU Name tapes and flashing
1) Name tape with silver letters should be above the front right pocket of the
blouse and the USNLCC branch tapes with silver letter above the left
pocket
2) The branch flash with in should be centered on front right pocket
3) Trouser name belongs above the back right pocket
4) NWU 8 point cover/cap should have the USNLCC cap flashing (small)
centered on the front. Write your name on the inside of the cover it’s most
commonly lost or mistaken by the another cadet.
Boots and blousing straps

Black leather (no suede) boots with 8-9” tops
can be purchased at most retail stores, the
NEX or online through Amazon, Ebay outlets.
Most military boots are “Bates” brand. Boots
must be shined regularly.

Black socks should be worn with the boots.

Blousing strap are required with trousers. It’s
best to have multiple sets when attending
training.
Proper use and rolling sleeves
TSRM staff will show proper use of NWUs and the correct way to roll the sleeves.
Navy Working Uniform. Sleeves may be rolled up at the option of CO.
1. When authorized, sleeves will be rolled with the inside out, with the cuff folder over, forming a roll
approximately 3 inches wide, and terminating at a point approximately 2 inches above the elbow.
2. Lay the uniform on a flat surface, face up and sleeves extended out, with the button at the end of the sleeve
unbuttoned.
3. Flip the sleeves inside-out by folding the cuffs of the sleeve up towards the armpit area. Pull it up until it
almost touches the inside seam of the armpit region.
4. Roll the bottoms of the inside-out sleeves in three inch rolls upwards until you reach the cuffs.
5. Fold the end of the cuff down over the rolled portion of the sleeve.
6. Secure the button and flap. Repeat on opposite sleeve.

NWU Return Policy
NOTE - All uniforms are on loan from US NAVY and should be
returned in good usable order when discharged from the UNIT
to receive holding $40 deposit.
