As a volunteer, I agree to:
1. Attend orientation and training sessions. If unable to attend, I will make alternative
arrangements with the Visitor Information Services Manager.
2. Represent myself in a professional manner to visitors and staff at all times while on duty.
Remembering our visitors are always our top priority and provide prompt, polite and friendly
customer service to them.
3. Be punctual and conscientious in meeting volunteer obligations:
 Be prompt and reliable in reporting for scheduled work
 Before contacting the Volunteer Manager, make a concerted effort to find my own
substitute
 Comply with the minimum number of hours of service per month (6 hrs/mo)
 Make up any hours missed by appointments, vacations, or illness to maintain the
minimum hours required
4. I understand that Travel Juneau may take a position in regard to local tourism issues and I will
use discretion and remain neutral when voicing my opinions while volunteering, participating in
FAMs, or at any other Travel Juneau sponsored event.
5. I agree to abide by Travel Juneau’s policies and procedures as outlined in training and in the
Travel Juneau volunteer handbook.
6. I will record my hours worked and to the best of my ability record the number of visitors
assisted during my shift.
