Iron Academy Makes the Grade!

We are excited to share results from the most objective measure of teaching effectiveness:
nationally-normed standardized tests that measure thinking capacity against same-aged peers.
From day one, it has been our contention that Iron Academy would deliver a superb education that
resulted in measureable results; that we would make our students smarter in relation to their peers
in all other schools. Last year, we revealed remarkable improvements in individual student’s scores
compared to their previous year’s results. Iron Academy students gained an average of 8.8
percentile points against peers throughout the nation! Results this year were identical.

Compared to their peers across the nation, Iron Academy students have gained an
average of 8.7 percentile points of intellectual growth in their first year at Iron
Academy!
For the students for whom we have scoring data through two testing cycles, their
scoring measured against same-aged peers across the nation improved a combined
15.83%!

So what? What does this mean in the real world?
o Coming in at the 70th percentile, our “average” new student after only two years at
Iron Academy goes from a would-be 580 to a projected 670 on SAT Math and from
550 to 630 on SAT Verbal; improving from a total SAT score of 1130 to 1300.
o Two-year difference: “Stretch” schools become “safety” schools!

We will continue making our students smarter in relation to their peers, eventually yielding
average intellectual growth in the 25-35% range over their careers at Iron Academy.
Converting to expected gains on the new SAT, we would expect that to yield 200-300
points WITHOUT factoring in any SAT-specific training.
