What’s Mrs. Boice Up to Now?
Glad you asked! In an effort to get to know some of our neighboring parishes
and priests, I am planning to do a Round Robin trip to each of our seven community
parishes. This Sunday, August 23rd, I plan to attend the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Anastasia. I
owe Father Tim big time for leaving him off the fab list of seven parishes...all supporters of Cathedral Parish School!! Hoping to see the students and families of St. Anastasia Catholic Church
when I come to visit. Please stop by and say hello to me after Mass.
A SPECIAL THANKS GOES OUT
TO:
Father Tom
Father Terry
Father Jeff
Father Lawrence
Deacon Chuck
& Dr. Sans

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY—450TH EVENT PARKING
Looking to get a jump start on your volunteer hours? We have the perfect opportunity
coming right up! On Friday, September 4th and Saturday, September 5th, CPS will be selling
parking spots on our campus on St. George Street and we need volunteers to man the parking lot and money table. On Friday, September 4th, the school will be having a NOON Dismissal due to the many street closings for the start of the city’s 450th celebration. With
the potential for strangers on campus and the hectic downtown traffic, there will be NO
aftercare that day. We will be selling parking from 1:00-10:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 9:00
a.m. until 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Spots will be $20 for one day and $40 for a two day pass.
We will use the easy Sign Up Genius for anyone wanting to volunteer. The link to sign up will
be emailed to parents Thursday, August 20th. Just click on the link, then click on the time
frame you want to volunteer. Also, if 2 volunteers from the same family are volunteering at
the same time, please check 2 time slots. Volunteers will be allowed to park in the back
teachers parking lot for the time they are working. We are hoping to raise a ton of money, so
come help support our school! Questions? Please email Lesa Manfredo @ [email protected]
Thanks so much!!! Lesa Manfredo
NEWS FROM MRS. OTT—GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
Our Child Study Team and Great Leaps Program will begin next week. Keep your eyes open for
the yellow Great Leaps folder. You should have received a letter indicating that your child will be
invited to participate again this year. If you did not receive a letter in your child’s Friday Folder
last week, but would like to confirm their participation; or if you would like to inquire about participation in our Child Study Team, please contact Mrs. Ott at [email protected]
PARENT-STUDENT DIRECTORY
Our parent portal accounts now have the added feature of a Parent-Student Directory.
This is often used by fellow parents to contact you regarding class parties, birthday invitations, or other social activities. Please be sure to read the attached directions on how
to set up our Parent Directory listing. Only those that choose to customize their listing
will have information available to other CPS parents.
