It’s picnic time are you able to help?
South County Love Your Neighborhood (Birky Family Country Gourmet) has
graciously agreed to serve us Pork Burgers, chips, and homemade ice cream (there
will be a treat for the students who cannot have dairy). The PTO has agreed to
provide the drinks and shade.
Please visit our Volunteer Spot http://vols.pt/Hu9yM8 and sign up to bring a case of small
water bottles or Easy Up tents.

I cannot believe that we are to the last Friday of the 2016-2017 school year!
Every year I say that once we hit Spring Break, the year is pretty much over.
This year was no exception. I would like to take this opportunity to give one
more pat on the back to everyone that has helped up front or behind the
scenes on all of the PTO sponsored events.
From the board members collecting a 125 pounds of bottle caps and then giving out prizes at
the Plinko game at the Open House to the last minute (and extremely successful) Date Nights,
the three Book Fairs, Grandparents Day, Santa’s Secret Shop, Family Night Out, and who could
forget our Christmas and Spring Break Parties. Plus all of the other events like scooping 30
gallons of ice cream in one hour, hanging almost 1,000 pieces of art, fundraising in the fall,
feeding and appreciating the teachers and staff, counting box tops and driving roundtrip to
Evansville alone with the bottle caps (thank you Penny Bruno Rubarts!) to get our buddy
benches. With all of the PTO sponsored events this year, there were well over 500 volunteer
opportunities. If you were able to fill one of those spots for us, THANK YOU.
There is a saying that I like, “I used to think somebody else would do it. Then I realized that I
was somebody.” Thank you to all of the “somebodies” that stepped up. Thank you to all of the
spouses and support people who stepped up and helped out. Thank you to the parents for
coming out and supporting the events. It takes every one of us to make the school year a
success and I feel like we had a fantastically successful year! THANK YOU!!! ~ Tammy Cox
