The Wilds is located in North Carolina off US Highway 178. If coming
north on I-85, take SC 11 (first exit after Georgia-South Carolina
border) and turn left onto US 178. Four miles north of the North
Carolina-South Carolina border, turn left onto Old Toxaway Road and
follow the signs to the campsite. From North Carolina on I-26, take Exit
40. Follow NC 280 West to US 64. Continue on US 64 West through
Brevard to Frozen Creek Road (1.5 miles beyond the Route 178 Rosman
turnoff) and turn left. Follow the signs for 5.5 miles to the camp.

for teens. During the first week there are
basic sessions packed with valuable lessons
and personal evaluation that explore a
camper’s Christian growth. The second week
features more classes plus a leadership role
among the other campers. This important
program is designed for young people
who are committed to Christ, are 16 years
of age or older, are entering at least the
11th grade, and who want a true leadership
challenge.

Arrival: The check-in window will open at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The camp
program will begin at 5:00 p.m. (Please try to arrive before 4:30 p.m.)

the Snack Shop, bookstore, coffee shop, Paintball, and Craft Shop—most
campers bring $50-$75 for spending money). Please note that an ATM is
available on the campsite for your convenience.
Do not bring: Alcoholic beverages, drugs, tobacco, fireworks, ammunition,
guns, weapons, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, magazines, apparel
with inappropriate graphics or lettering, or any type of electronic device,

Christian conduct: As a Christian organization, The Wilds maintains high
standards of conduct and separation. Separate swim times are scheduled
for male and female campers. Campers who use tobacco, alcohol, or any
form of illegal drugs will be dismissed. Any noncooperative or noncompliant
campers will be subject to dismissal.

conditions such as chickenpox or lice. The camp has a “nit-free” policy. All
campers need to be checked for lice prior to arrival at camp, and only those
campers who are “nit-free” should be allowed to come.
Meals: All meals are included in the price of the camping program. Those
on special diets must bring their own necessary supplements.
Airport arrivals: The closest airport is in Asheville, NC. The Wilds provides
a shuttle service for this airport only, by advance arrangement. Rates are
available upon request. Call the camp office at (828) 884-7811 to make
arrangements.
Late arrival: Should your arrival be delayed past 4:30 p.m., please phone
the camp office at (828) 884-7811 to hold reservations and to give us an
estimated arrival time.

Reservations are confirmed when the completed registration form with the

Greg Stiekes has served the Lord in full-time ministry for close
to 25 years, teaching in Christian high schools and colleges and
serving in youth and children’s ministries. Greg has been the
senior pastor of Bethany Bible Church in Hendersonville, NC,
for 14 years. Greg completed his master’s degree in Communication at Bob Jones
University. He also earned an M.Div., a Th.M., and a Ph.D. in New Testament. He
speaks and writes on worldview, culture, and the biblical foundation for family,
marriage, and gender roles. Greg and his wife, Rena, have 5 children.

Balance is due upon arrival.
Cancellation Policy: We ask for advance notice of cancellations so families on waiting lists
can make adequate preparation. Those who notify the office of cancellations at least 60
days before the camp begins will receive a refund of their deposit. Deposits and reservations
cannot be transferred to future camps. No refunds of deposits will be made after the 60-day
deadline. Thank you for your consideration of our other guests.
Accommodations are reserved in the order they are requested
when accompanied by the completed registration form and
deposit. If the requested accommodation is full, we will confirm
the next type of housing available and put you on standby for your
