TAB UGADI COMPETTITIONS GUIDELINES CHITRA LEKHANAM Name of the competition : CHITRA LEKHANAM (Drawing) Number of levels : For All levels – Level 0 thru 5 Topics/syllabus Rules for the participants : level 0 level 1 level 2 level 3 level 4 > > > > > any drawing house/garden cartoon character differences your future Ambition in drawing : o Topics will be allowed only as per above. o Children shall bring their own choice of drawing supplies o o (color pencils, markers, crayons etc., ) Drawing sheets will be provided by TAB. Watercolors are not allowed. Instructions for the Volunteers : o Write numbers on the sheets for each level. L001 – for Level 0 L101 – for Level 1 L201 – for Level 2 L301 – for Level 3 L401 – for Level 4 o Inform kids NOT to write their names on the sheet. Instructions for Judges. o Consider marks for cleanliness of sheet. o Judges kids are not allowed to participate in this competition. o Judges are not allowed to discuss/disclose the marks to anyone other than the TAB point of contacts. Padyamu Recitation Name of the competition : Padyamu (Telugu only) Number of levels : Level 0 and Level 1 Topics/syllabus : level 0 > Recite one Poem from Vemana padhyam or Bhaskara Sathakam or Sumathi Sathakam (bonus marks will be given for meaning) level 1 > Recite a poem from Vemana Padyamu or Bhaskara Sathakam or Sumathi Sathakam and their bhavaalu (meanings in Telugu only) Rules for the participants : o Meaning of Padyamu will get more marks. o Correct pose and body language gets bonus marks. o Reading from paper/books are not allowed during the competition. Instructions for the judges : o Marks to be given for clear pronunciation as well as difficult padyam. o Marks to be given for correct pose and body language. o Judges kids are not allowed to participate in this competition. o Judges are not allowed to discuss/disclose the marks to anyone other than the TAB point of contacts. Oka Chinna Maata Name of the competition : Oka Chinna Maata (Elocution) Number of levels : Level 2 ,Level 3 & Level 4 Topics/syllabus : Rules for the participants : Topics will be given only at the Competition venue. o Each participant will choose a topic from the given specified pool of topics. o Each level will have separate pool of topics. o Participants are expected to speak in Telugu only. Marks to be given for clear pronunciation and for enunciation. o Time allocated is 3 minutes o Speech should not contain padyalu or paatalu as the main content. Instructions for the judges : o Marks to be given for clear pronunciation. o Marks to be given for correct pose and body language. o Judges kids are not allowed to participate in this competition. o Judges are not allowed to discuss/disclose the marks to anyone other than the TAB point of contacts. Vyasa Rachana Name of the competition : Vyasa Rachana (Essay Writing) Number of levels : Level 2 ,Level 3 & Level 4 Topics/syllabus : Mee vooru Ugadhi PandugaBharatadesam Rules for the participants for level 2 for level 3 for level 4 : o All the levels should follow the topics mentioned ONLY above. o Participants are expected to write in Telugu only. Marks to be given for grammar and neatness. o Time allocated is 30 minutes. Instructions for the judges : o Marks to be given for neatness of the answer sheet and good hand writing. o Judges kids are not allowed to participate in this competition. o Judges are not allowed to discuss/disclose the marks to anyone other than the TAB point of contacts. Prasnala Pariksha (Quiz) Name of the competition : Kids Quiz Number of levels : Level 3 & Level 4 Topics : Round 1 > Telugu Basha & Grammar Ex: What is the Telugu word for train? Round 2 > Relation ships Ex: Who is your father sister? Round 3 > Indian mythology Ex: Who is mother of lord Rama? Rules for the participants : o All the answers should be in Telugu only to get the marks. o No smart phones are allowed. Instructions for the judges : o Each round consists of 5 marks o Round 1 & 2 are serial rounds and round 3 is buzzer round. o For buzzer round: Right answer gets 5 marks and wrong answer lose 2 marks o Marks to be given for clear pronunciation. o Marks to be given for correct pose and body language. o Judges kids are not allowed to participate in this competition. o Judges are not allowed to discuss/disclose the marks to anyone other than the TAB point of contacts. Padutha Theeyaga (TAB Singing Idol) Name of the competition : Singing competition Number of levels : Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 Topics (movie songs are allowed) Rounds : Semi classical Telugu songs ONLY : Only 3 rounds per level Rules for the participants : o One entry per kid (solo performance ONLY) o First round: Provide YouTube link in the registration form (when participant selects paddutha thiyaga link in the form, a text box will be automatically populated to enter YouTube link) 3 – 4 minutes per song. Less than 3 and more than 4 minutes automatically gets disqualified Chorus, Karaoke and shruti box are not allowed Working YouTube link is participant’s responsibility. TAB is not responsible Judges decision is final o Second Round: Selected participants will be notified by TAB Participants will have to perform in person This event will be conducted on 3/19/2016 Each song 3 – 4 minutes. Less than 3 and more than 4 minutes automatically gets disqualified Chorus, Karaoke and Shruthi box not allowed Judges decision is final o Final Round: On stage Selected participants will be notified by TAB Each song should be less than 5 minutes Participants should be near the stage 15 minutes prior to their performance Chorus, Karaoke not allowed, Shruti box allowed Judges decision is final
