Put it aside.
Now, think about if you were on this panel and write down a risk that you
have taken that you would have shared. Did it turn out well or badly?
Now write down a second one that turned out the opposite way. (i.e., if
your first one was a success, jot down a failure.)
What did you do differently between the two examples?
In hindsight, what could you have done to create a better result?

Share one with your table mates – only use 1-2 minutes each, so start by
identifying a time keeper at each table.
8. Now go back to your first list of items that you are afraid to do. Pick one
and write down a first step toward taking that risk. Then jot down the next
few steps you’d have to take. Start each item with an action verb, such as
“Talk to Judy,” “Write to Gail,” “Schedule an appointment with Susan,”
“Email Lori.”
9. Then write down the worst thing that could happen if you failed at that first
step. Remember: nothing ventured, nothing gained.
10. Now write down what the possible lost opportunities are for you.
