Expands Service in Central Nebraska
with New 1,000 Foot Tower
Quality Bible Teaching Radio Now Heard
from Grand Island to North Platte
at 104.5 FM
OVERLAND PARK, Kan., January 26th, 2007 — A three year vision
became a reality Saturday, January 20th, when Bott Radio Network (BRN)
began broadcasting to Central Nebraska at 104.5 FM from a brand new
1,000 foot tower near Lexington. Broadcasting with 100,000 watts of
power, the new expanded signal can now be heard as one drives all the way
from Grand Island, Hastings and Kearney, to McCook and North
Platte.
Bott Radio Network purchased the radio station in January 2004 at a bank
auction after it had gone off the air. BRN changed the call letters from
KAMI to KCVN—The Christian Voice of Nebraska— and promptly
returned the station to the air with BRN’s format of Quality Bible Teaching,
Christian News, and Information. As the station resumed broadcasting from
its original 350 foot tower near Cozad, BRN began looking for an
opportunity to maximize the station’s reach with a 1,000 foot tower. That
opportunity came when Bott Radio Network and Nebraska Rural Radio
Association joined forces to build a brand new 1,000 foot tower near
Lexington, so that both stations, KCVN 104.5 FM and KRVN 93.1 FM,
could expand their signals by broadcasting from the same tall tower.
Today, this new 1,000 foot tower is one of the tallest radio towers in
Central Nebraska.
Bott Radio Network serves the state of Nebraska in Lincoln at 88.5 FM, in
Omaha at 92.7 FM, in Fremont at 102.9 FM, and in Cozad at 1580 AM
and now all across Central Nebraska with 100,000 watts of power and a
1,000 foot tower at 104.5 FM.
