It After more than a year of fierce and heated 1: _______ the United Kingdom has
finally answered the question of whether it wishes to remain a part of the
European Union. The vote’s results were announced shortly after 3am on Friday
24th June and it was a huge shock – the UK has voted to leave the EU by 52% - 48%.
As the results were 2: ______ the British currency – the Pound Sterling dropped by
12% to its lowest value for nearly 10 years. The day before the EU vote the Pound
was worth 160 Yen, but after the vote was announced it 3: ______ to 136 Yen
2 Amongst celebrations on the LEAVE side, the debate within the UK over its
relationship with Europe has been bitter, divisive and tragic. There have been

the morning of Mrs Cox’s murder by prominent ‘LEAVE’ campaigner Nigel Farage
was highlighted as an example of the LEAVE campaign’s racist undertones. The

used in Nazi Germany to demonise Jewish and non-German groups. Mr Farage
denounced the accusation and said it was “an accurate un-doctored photograph”.

After more than a year of fierce and heated argument the United Kingdom has finally answered
the question of whether it wishes to remain a part of the European Union. The vote’s results were
announced shortly after 3am on Friday 24th June and it was a huge shock – the UK has voted to
leave the EU by 52% - 48%. As the results were announced the British currency – the Pound
Sterling dropped by 12% to its lowest value for nearly 10 years. The day before the EU vote the
Pound was worth 160 Yen, but after the vote was announced it dropped to 136 Yen
