Loxton shines brighter than ever on Light Up
Day - our town's biggest party of the year!
The star of the Christmas Lights Festival, Christmas
Wonderland is a privately owned display and is
a site to behold. An enchanting coloured light
spectacular with amazing illuminated scenes
stretching over 250 metres.
Santa will be in his
magical Cave, in the
centre of town, for a
very special visit with
each child. Everyone
receives a free
gift from Santa
and photo
opportunities
are available.
2016 Theme: Something old… Something new…
A special tree made by you.
It’s a perfect way to start your family’s Christmas
celebrations and the Lights Festival 2016.
Come and enjoy a fantastic day filled with free
entertainment, music and activities. There are
food and craft markets, and Loxton’s vibrant
village-style shopping precinct will be open all
day until 8.30pm. Kids can visit Santa in his Cave,
collect free goodies along the Reindeer Road, and
sing and dance to great entertainment
on the main stage… then watch the
sky come alive with a spectacular
fireworks display on the bank of
the Murray River at 9pm!
Saturday 26th November.
MARTHA'S ON MARTHA
Free refreshments and snacks along with a display
of Nativity Scenes. Uniting Church Hall.
Open from 7:30pm on 26th November,
2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd
and 24th December.
Open Christmas Eve following a Cafe Style
Church Service.
Local community groups decorate and display trees in unique,
novel and innovative ways to the theme. Gold coin donation.
CWA Hall Kokoda Terrace. Open daily 11am - 6pm. Saturday
26th November to Sunday 18th December. Groups by
appointment, call Caudis 0427 846 089.
CRAFT FAIR
A variety of local,
handcrafted items
and baked goods for
sale, great for finding
unique Christmas
gifts! RSL Hall,
Tobruk Terrace.

COMMUNITY CAROLS
The combined churches of Loxton invite you
to sing Christmas carols by candlelight on the
Rotunda lawns, East Terrace from 7:30pm (prelude
from 7:00pm) on Sunday 18th December.

Come and be entertained outside St. Peters.
SANTA'S WALK

An icon event, Loxton Light Up
Day is one of the Riverland’s
favourite family festivals.
Celebrating
20 Years!
A 30-voice choir brings a 4 tiered, 6m high
Christmas Tree to life singing much loved and
traditional carols. Donations welcome.
A cluster of streets surrounding Hilbig Street the
focal point of Santa's Walk where it all started in
the 1970's... still a highlight of the Festival today!
St. Peters Lutheran Church. 8pm - 8:30pm
on 3rd, 10th and 17th December.
