Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Venice
Depart from DFW on the flight for
the gateway city and on to Venice.
Dinner and breakfast will be served
on board.
Day 2: Arrival in Venice
Arrival at Marco Polo airport. It is
time to make your grand entrance
into Venice as you cruise along
the Grand Canal on the way to
your hotel. Time for unpacking and
relaxing, then dinner will be served
at or near the hotel.
Day 3: Venice
Join a morning walking tour
of St. Mark’s Square. See the
soaring Bell Tower, the incredibly
rich Basilica of St. Mark and the
Doge’s Palace. It is from here that
the powerful dukes ruled their
empire during the 15th Century.
The afternoon and evening are
at leisure, with the possibility of
participating in an optional gondola
ride.
Day 4: Venice, Verona, Siena
Start your morning early by
boarding the coach to the lovely
town of Verona. Take a look at
the balcony of Romeo and Juliet
and stop for lunch on your own, in

the area of the incredible Piazza
delle Erbe, the most ancient
square in Verona. In the afternoon,
enjoy a drive through the Tuscan
countryside to reach Siena. Dinner
will be served at the hotel.
Day 5: Siena, Florence, Siena
Leave the hotel early to board the
coach for an excursion to Florence.
On arrival, begin a guided, walking
tour of the city which will include
the Academy with Michelangelo’s
statue David, the Cathedral of St.
Mary of the Flower and Baptistry,
the Piazza della Signoria and the
Church of Santa Croce. There
will be free time afterwards to
explore further this Renaissance
city. Stroll past the never ending
gold boutiques that line the Ponte
Vecchio, discover the city’s flea
market or visit the Uffizi Museum.
Return to Siena and savor dinner
on your own.
Day 6: Siena, Rome
Begin the day with guided tour
of the Basilica of San Domenico,
then move on to discover other
treasures of Siena, the splendid
Cathedral and Piazza del Campo
where each year the famous and
dangerous Palio horse race takes
place. After free time for lunch,
continue to Rome and reach the
hotel, where dinner will be served.
Day 7: Rome
After breakfast, take part in a tour
of monumental Rome: admire
the famous Trevi Fountain, the
Pantheon, built in the 1st Century,
as a temple dedicated to all gods
and now a Catholic Church where
many illustrious deceased are
buried, and the Piazza Navona with
one of Bernini’s masterpieces, the
Four Rivers Fountain. The rest of
the day is open for you to discover
on your own all that Rome has to
offer.
Day 8: Rome
Begin the day with a tour of the
impressive Vatican Museums. Walk
through some of the most unique
rooms and view the works of art of
famous artists, the Sistine Chapel
with Michelangelo’s masterpiece,
The Last Judgment and visit the
most magnificent of churches, St.
Peter’s Basilica. In thew afternoon,
possibly visit the Borghese
Museum and Gardens, boasting
paintings by Caravaggio, Raphael,
and Titian, as well as sculptures by
Bernini. This evening, take part in a
special pizza party and savor Italy’s
most renowned specialty.
Day 9: Rome
The morning’s guided tour will
include a visit to the massive
Colosseum and the incredible
excavations of the Roman Forum.
The remainder of the day is yours
for last minute shopping or
sightseeing. Toast farewell to Rome
and sing along to some of Italy’s
most famous melodies, like
Arrivederci Roma, at the Farewell
Dinner. Afterwards, enjoy a
panoramic view of illuminated
Rome featuring the Baths of
Caracalla, Circus Maximus,
Colosseum and the Piazza Venezia
with its monument to Victor
Emanuel the II, housing the Tomb
of the Unknown Soldier, before
returning to the hotel.
Day 10: Rome
This morning you will be
accompanied by your tour leader
to the airport and assisted with
check in formality to board the flight
home. You will be asking yourself
