You have to work out a code. The boxes on the left have
shapes and the code letters that go with them. The top letters
mean something different to the bottom letters. Work out the
codes for the test shape.

Solution
Look for which code letters the three shapes have in
common; in this case, it’s letter D, which represents a
triangular nose. E must therefore mean an oval nose. The
letters A, B, C mean the orientation of the smiley; A =
upright; B = upside-down; C = on its side. Our test shape
has an oval nose and is upside-down. Hence answer code
is BE – Answer B.
