Louisiana State Squires Eric Bergman Memorial Award
This award is given in memory of the Past State Chief Squire, Eric Bergman. Eric was the State
Chief Squire for 2000-2001 Fraternal Years. On June 20, 2001 Eric and His mother, Helen
Bergman, were killed in an automobile accident. Eric was killed with only ten days left on his term
of office. The following is the general criteria for the Award:
1. No State Squire Officer is eligible for the award.
2. The applicant must be a senior in High School.
3. The applicant must be serving as Chief Squire of his Circle.

Louisiana State Squires Charles Miceli Award
This award is in honor of Charles Miceli who was a Former State
Squires Chairman. “Mr. Charlie”, as he was often called, was very active
in all activities with the Squires. He spent his life trying to make a
difference in their life. He was a great role model for all counselors to
follow. We are changing this award from the Counselor of the Year, to
the Charles Miceli Award. Nominee form can be filled out by a Squire
or other Counselor from his Circle.
The Criteria for this award is an explanation of why he deserves this
award and what has he done this past year to “make a difference in a
Squires Life”.
