BILATERAL RELATIONS “Taste of Argentina”: A tango, wine and innovative Argentine cuisine festival in Miami A couple dances tango at the Argentine festival. F or the third consecutive year, the Consulate General and Promotion Center of Argentina in Miami held the “Taste of Argentina/Sabores de Argentina” event on November 1-10, to promote Argentine gastronomy. This is now part of the annual calendar of events that have turned Miami into one of the prominent multicultural cities in the U.S., especially for Spanish-speaking countries such as Argentina. In 2013, over 160 Miami restaurants took part in this ten-day event, offering traditional Argentine cuisine, as well as DVHOHFWLRQRI¿QH$UJHQWLQHZLQHVWR showcase the ideal pairings for lunch or dinner. The event included performances by Argentine artists and other cultural activities typical of Argentina, such as tango, folklore, music and dance. Likewise, Wine Tastings were held in several Miami restaurants and wineries, during which representatives and H[SHUWVH[SODLQHGWKHGLVWLQFWLYHIHDWXUHV of Argentina’s wine industry.
