SUPPLY ACT.
Act No. 16, 1947.
An Act to apply certain sums out of the Consoli­
dated Revenue Fund, the Government
Railways Fund, the Road Transport and
Traffic Fund, the Metropolitan Transport
Trust General Fund, the Newcastle and
District Transport Trust General Fund,
and the Sydney Harbour Trust Fund,
towards the services of the Year 1947-1948.

H E R E A S we Y o u r M a j e s t y ' s m o s t dutiful a n d
loyal subjects, the M e m b e r s of the Legislative
Assembly of New South W a l e s in P a r l i a m e n t assembled,
have resolved to g r a n t to y o u r M a j e s t y the sum of T e n
millions eight h u n d r e d a n d eighty-two t h o u s a n d nine
h u n d r e d p o u n d s , t h a t is to s a y —
Out of the Consolidated Revenue F u n d , the sum of
F o u r millions five h u n d r e d a n d seventy-two
t h o u s a n d five h u n d r e d p o u n d s , being the s u m
r e q u i r e d to defray the expenses of the v a r i o u s
D e p a r t m e n t s a n d Services of the S t a t e d u r i n g
the m o n t h s of October a n d November or follow­
ing m o n t h of the financial y e a r ending t h i r t i e t h
d a y of J u n e , one t h o u s a n d nine h u n d r e d a n d
forty-eight.
Out of the G o v e r n m e n t R a i l w a y s F u n d , the sum of

Out of the Sydney H a r b o u r T r u s t F u n d , the sum of

p o u n d s to defray the salaries, maintenance a n d
working expenses and other expenses of the
M a r i t i m e Services B o a r d of New South W a l e s
d u r i n g the m o n t h s of October a n d November or
following month of the financial y e a r ending

dred a n d forty-eight.
A n d w h e r e a s we desire to make good out of the said
F u n d s the sum so g r a n t e d to H i s M a j e s t y : Be it t h e r e f o r e
enacted by the K i n g ' s Most Excellent Majesty, by a n d
with
with the advice a n d consent of the Legislative Council
a n d Legislative Assembly of New South W a l e s in
P a r l i a m e n t assembled, a n d by the a u t h o r i t y of the same,
as follows:—

g r a n t e d to H i s Majesty, the sum of Nine h u n d r e d a n d
fifty-seven t h o u s a n d nine; h u n d r e d p o u n d s to be expended
a t the r a t e s which have been sanctioned for the financial
y e a r ended t h i r t i e t h day of J u n e , one t h o u s a n d nine
h u n d r e d a n d forty-seven, to defray the salaries, main­
t e n a n c e a n d w o r k i n g expenses a n d other expenses of the
D e p a r t m e n t of R o a d T r a n s p o r t a n d T r a m w a y s , d u r i n g
t h e m o n t h s of October and November or following m o n t h

6. Out of the S y d n e y H a r b o u r T r u s t F u n d there shall
a n d m a y be issued and applied for or t o w a r d s m a k i n g
good the s u p p l y so resolved to be g r a n t e d to H i s Majesty,
the
the s u m of Two h u n d r e d a n d five t h o u s a n d nine h u n d r e d
p o u n d s to be expended a t the r a t e s which have been
sanctioned for the financial y e a r ended t h i r t i e t h d a y of
J u n e , one t h o u s a n d nine h u n d r e d a n d forty-seven, to
d e f r a y the salaries, m a i n t e n a n c e a n d w o r k i n g expenses
a n d o t h e r expenses of the M a r i t i m e Services B o a r d of
N e w S o u t h W a l e s d u r i n g the m o n t h s of October a n d
N o v e m b e r or following m o n t h of the financial y e a r ending
t h i r t i e t h d a y of J u n e , one t h o u s a n d nine h u n d r e d a n d
forty-eight, subject to the r a t e of a n y reduction t h a t
m a y h e r e a f t e r be m a d e in the e x p e n d i t u r e of the y e a r
1947-1948.
7. The T r e a s u r e r shall issue a n d p a y the said s u m s
for the Services a f o r e s a i d in such m a n n e r a n d in such
p r o p o r t i o n s as the Governor, by W a r r a n t s or O r d e r s in
w r i t i n g u n d e r his h a n d , a n d d i r e c t e d to the said
T r e a s u r e r , shall from time to time o r d e r a n d direct.
A n d the p a y m e n t s so to be m a d e shall be c h a r g e d u p o n
a n d p a i d out of the Consolidated Revenue F u n d , t h e
G o v e r n m e n t R a i l w a y s F u n d , the R o a d T r a n s p o r t a n d
Traffic F u n d , the M e t r o p o l i t a n T r a n s p o r t T r u s t General
F u n d , the Newcastle a n d D i s t r i c t T r a n s p o r t T r u s t
General F u n d , a n d the S y d n e y H a r b o u r T r u s t F u n d ,
respectively.
8. The T r e a s u r e r shall in his accounts from time to
time be allowed credit for all sums of money p a i d b y
him in p u r s u a n c e of such W a r r a n t s or O r d e r s . A n d t h e
receipts of the respective p e r s o n s to whom the same shall
be so p a i d shall be full a n d valid discharges to the said
T r e a s u r e r in p a s s i n g his said accounts for such sums a s
shall be therein mentioned, a n d he shall receive credit,
for the same accordingly.
9. This Act m a y be cited as the ' ' S u p p l y Act, 1947.''
