Mayor Meer called the Regular Meeting for the Callaway Community Redevelopment Agency
Board to order at approximately 9: 09 p. m., on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.

Abbott, Commissioner George H. Smith, Commissioner Mike T. Jones.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
February 14, 2012 CRA Meeting.
Commissioner Abbott seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

FaGade Grant Application— Herita e Funeral Home
Planning Director Fuller provided a brief overview of the fa ade grant program; and explained
that Heritage Funeral Home had completed an application, obtained three bids, and that the
owner prefers to utilize the services of the second lowest bidder.
Commissioner DeLapp motioned to approve the fa ade grant application allowing the CRA to
match the dollar amount the applicant will spend on landscaping improvements to be paid
upon completion and approval of the project. Commissioner Abbott seconded the motion.
Commissioner Abbott stated that although the applicants had the right to use any contractor
they choose, he suggested the City amend the motion to only allow matching funds to the extent
of
the lowest bid.
Commissioner Smith agreed that applicant should be allowed to choose the
contractor of choice, but the City should only match the low bid.
Commissioner DeLapp amended his motion to approve the fa ade grant application allowing
the CRA to match the dollar amount the applicant spends on the landscaping improvements
not to exceed half the amount of the lowest bid to be paid upon completion and after approval
of the project Commissioner Abbott seconded the amended motion. Atl ayes.
