RTI application:
1. The appellant filed an RTI application dated 21.1.2014 seeking information regarding number of emergency quota seats in train number 17229 (Sabari Express) in third AC and second AC, criteria for releasing of emergency quota seats etc. The appellant filed first appeal dated 13.2.2014 with the first appellate authority. The response of PIO and FAA is not on record. The appellant filed second appeal dated 9.5.2014 with the Commission.

From the material available on record it is evident that that the appellant is seeking information regarding the number of emergency quota seats in train number 17229 (Sabari Express) in third AC and second AC, criteria for releasing of emergency quota seats, number of applications received for release of emergency quota seats for third AC and second AC seats for journey on 18.1.2014, list of passengers who were allotted emergency quota seats in third AC and second AC on 18.1.2014 for train number 17229 departing from Trivandrum.
