Students will read the story (with vocabulary annotations) The Necklace. Throughout the story, there will be places marked with a STOP sign
where we will stop for discussion and analysis. Following the conclusion of the story, students will be introduced to the three types of irony and
asked to apply those to the story. Our vocabulary for this week will also be taken from the story.
