This is a re-measure of the previous route due to the repositioning of a footbridge. I confirm that I have completed the measurement report of 16 pages consisting of this summary page, all data sheets, the course map and sketches showing the exact position of the start and finish and I have sent copies to: 1. SEAA Course Measurement Secretary, M.C.W. Sandford, 22 Stevenson Drive, Abingdon, Oxon, OX14 1SN. email: [email protected] who will check the report, file it and issue a certificate of course accuracy. 2. Race Director, who must use this report to lay out the course for the race, and carefully keep it for future years. It should be shown to any official requiring details of the measured course. 3. This summary page (only) must be sent to UKA – [email protected] to confirm the measurement has been completed as required for the race permit. Finish Constant: 18,027 Counts per mile The Constant for the Day = Either the Working Constant or the Finish Constant, whichever is the larger. Constant for the Day: 18,030 Counts per mile Other than the larger constant may be used if justified. In some circumstances the average is more appropriate. Give detailed reasons if this is applicable. Remember, each day’s measurement must be preceded and followed by a calibration run. You may measure as much as you want in a day provided that calibration precedes it and follows it within the same 24 hour period. This is done to minimise error due to changes in tyre pressure from thermal expansion and slow leakage. Frequent recalibration ‘protects’ the previous measurement. 1 mile = 1.609344 km Signed: Date: 28.10.2010 COURSE MEASUREMENT DATA SHEET Event & Venue: Nene Valley Harriers 10 mile Road Race Measurer: Tony King Measurement Date: Start time: 14.10 Temperature: 12ºC Finish time: 16.30 Temperature: 11ºC Working Constant: COUNT Increment in counts START Rightwell 15,285 0 0 0 Bretton Park 33,315 18,030 1 mile 1 mile Westhawe 51,345 18,030 1 mile 2 miles Deanery Court Path 69,375 18,030 1 mile 3 miles Copeland Path 87,405 18,030 1 mile 4 miles Bretton Gate 5,435 18,030 1 mile 5 miles Bretton Park 23,465 18,030 1 mile 6 miles Westhawe 41,495 18,030 1 mile 7 miles Deanery Woods Footpath 59,525 18,030 1 mile 8 miles Lindridge Walk 77,555 18,030 1 mile 9 miles FINISH - Rightwell 95,585 18,030 1 mile 10 miles Signed: 18,030 / mile 18,030 / mile (i.e. Pre-measurement calibration figure) SITE and/or LOCATION Constant for the Day: 27.10.2010 Increment in Accumulated distance distance NOTES Lamp Post PCC21 Watergall Playing Field Almost end of Path Children’s Playground Bridge Climb Sacred Heart School HALFWAY Pyhill Junction Lamp Post and Drain Cover In woods Brick Walls Haskoning Entrance If the Constant for the Day is not equal to the Working Constant, an adjustment to the start or finish will be needed, to be made as follows: Date: 28.10.2010 2nd Lap use Red Line route only 1 mile 6 miles 2 miles 7 miles FINISH START 3 miles 5 miles 8 miles 4 miles 9 miles NENE VALLEY HARRIERS 10 mile Road Race 2 lap course NENE VALLEY HARRIERS 10 Mile Road Race DISTANCE COVERED START START Lamp Post PCC 21 = Race Direction Mark is 6 yards before Lamp Post PCC 21 on right.
