Below is a list of some popular “DRM-free” sites. After creating an account with the site of your choice, you will be able to download the specific songs you choose to your computer. These songs can then be transferred to your player. http://www.Amazon.com/mp3 http://www.Rhapsody.com http://www.Napster.com http://www.mp3.com iTunes Plus*: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ *PLEASE NOTE songs previously purchased from iTunes may only play on an iTunes player, except if purchased thru the new “iTunes Plus” program. The iTunes Plus program allows you to purchase “DRM-free” songs that can be played on any player. The DRM-free songs are designated with a “plus (+)” sign next to the price. They will be downloaded to your computer in the standard .mp3 format. • No Driver is required if your PC is WIN2000 / XP or above version. • Connect the device and your PC with the USB cable. • You can directly add, copy or delete any files stored in the device. You can also download music from your PC to the device. 7 TRANSFERRING MUSIC FROM CDS TO YOUR COMPUTER If you already own a CD, you can create your own .mp3 songs on your computer that can then be transferred to your player. 1. Download a copy of Windows Media Player 11 from: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/alldownloads.aspx and follow the installation instructions. 2. Once the program is installed and launched, find the tab at the top of the screen labeled “RIP”. A window may pop up, asking you which action you would like to perform with the new found device. Select, “open folder to view files.” If a window does not pop up, click on the “my computer” icon located under the start menu. Under my computer, locate the folder labeled as “removable disk” and double click on this folder. Locate the folder containing the music you wish to transfer to your player. Under Windows XP and Vista, the folder “my music” located in the start menu will often contain most of your downloaded songs. Open the folder containing the music you wish to transfer. Select the song or songs you wish to transfer by holding down the “shift” key and selecting each one with 1 click of the left mouse button. At the top of the folder, select “Edit” and then “copy” from the drop down menu. 9 TRANSFERRING MUSIC TO YOUR PLAYER TRANSFER THE MUSIC FROM YOUR COMPUTER TO THE PLAYER Locate the folder of the music player (listed as “removable disk” under my computer). Under the folder, select “edit” and “paste” from the drop down menu. The songs you previously copied will now be added to this folder. DISCONNECTING THE PLAYER FROM THE COMPUTER After you have completed transferring all your music to the player, you must disconnect your player from the computer.
