Some years ago St. Leonards Bridge Club committed to Zero Tolerance for bad behaviour. The
then committee elected to adhere to the references listed below and it was adopted as Club
policy.
This has never been rescinded and therefore we would like to remind all of our members of the
policy listed below.
The Committee ask that all Club Director’s report any incidences to a Committee member
immediately.
Zero Tolerance Policy:
Anyone found reducing others' enjoyment will be asked to leave and may be asked to resign their
membership. Listed below are some of the things that are considered unacceptable.
Harassment, intimidation, insinuation, profanity.
Negative comments about opponents' or partner's bidding and play.
Giving unasked-for tuition at the bridge table.
Discussing hands in a manner that can be heard at other tables.
Discussing hands after a round has been called.
Gloating over one's own good results or opponents' misfortune.
Objecting to a call for the director. Arguing with the Director.
Disputing a director's ruling during a game.
Poor hygiene, grooming and dress. Shorts are not permitted.
Over indulgence in alcohol.
