A History of Giving The JR Community Care Fund was established by a group of employees in 1997. Known then as the Christmas Fund, it started out as a way to support fellow employees experiencing hardship. As time went on, the Christmas Fund committee saw the fund as an opportunity to give back and support local non-profit organizations. Through the growth that JR has experienced, we have seen an exponential increase in the amount of funds we raise annually, as well as the number of employees who participate in the fundraising events. Employees choose how much they have taken out of their checks, and those funds are added into the donation made after the end of the year. This year, we had a record number of automatic payroll donations, a total of: $11,592.65 by 101 employees! Volunteering Our Time JR Employees not only participate in fundraising events at work throughout the year, but we also give of our time and talents.
