PREPOSITIONS: PRACTICE #5 –PREPOSITIONAL PHRASES REVIEW #2
Grammar Review #2
Directions: In the paragraph below, first underline each prepositional phrase. Then, draw a box around
each preposition and circle the object of the preposition within each prepositional phrase.
REMEMBER: A PREPOSITIONAL PHRASE MUST ALWAYS BEGIN WITH A PREPOSITION AND END WITH A NOUN OR A PRONOUN!!!!!
On Sunday Aunt Daisy was hungry, so she drove her hot pink van to the market to buy a can of
Spam. At the door of the store, she noticed a man holding a large canned ham. With a smirk on his face,
this flimflammer stammered that he would trade her his canned ham for her shiny new hot pink van.
In a flash, she fell for his balderdash, gave him her shiny new hot pink van, and walked home and ate
her jumbo canned ham along with her can of Spam. Because she has no van, she can’t drive to the store
anymore when she wants a can of Spam. Instead, she rides her pet camel to the market, but she never
knows where to park it.
