¡Hola! Hello!
¡Bienvenidos a un nuevo año escolar!
Welcome back to a new school year!
Exciting new changes have been happening in
our Foreign Language Department.
We welcome Sra. Marlene Novas to our
instructional team. Sra. Novas comes to us from
5th grade. She will join Sra. Padgett and me, Sra.
Vera-Llano, as the Spanish teachers for CRE. Sra.
Bienes continues to be our ESOL teacher.
This year MDCPS revamped the Spanish
curriculum throughout the district and has
been providing foreign language instructors
with much needed training and professional
development in order to provide each of our
students with world class instruction!
We are happy to inform you that we have begun
to receive the new books and are very excited
to be working with the series.
As we enter into Hispanic Heritage Month all
of our students throughout our CRE campus
have been working on activities or participating
in contests that express their feeling on what
Hispanic Heritage Month means to them. All
EFL classes (K-5) have been diligently practicing
their dance routines in preparation for CRE’s
Hispanic Heritage Show on Friday, October
